I went from 1 to 3 as well. I was in the 1 all day long for the past 2 years. It was so banged up, even dented. I loved it, but this new one is blowing my mind. I love the speed, the screen, the size, speakers. It will be hard to Top this machine. Hopefully I'll get a few years out of it before I sell it. I went for the 32 this time around since the new apps are going to be hogs. Totally loving the camera!

Count me in as one that went from the original to the 3! Seriously, this iPad is amazing, and I loved the snot out of my old iPad. The screen is gorgeous, the body feels so much better in the hand, and it is so fast! Throw in the same battery life, being lighter, being thinner, and everything else that it has to offer, and it makes me glad that I didn't decide to skip the 3!

Still waiting for mine to be delivered. Unfort I already sold my iPad 1.

I have used my mom's iPad2 before but it should still feel really snappy and fresh to me since I have been using the first gen for the past year or so.

After 5.1 iPad original, became snappy and fun again so we will see!

I went from a 1 to 3 as well and picked up an airport extreme in the process. I am completely happy with my purchases. The ipad is just gorgeous and airplay works so much better now. I definitely do not regret the purchase. I put a belkin case on the back of it and thats it. I tried a smart cover but found it more of an annoyance than anything. The only reason I put a back cover on it was because when I sold my old one the only thing that didnt look brand new was the back, it had light scuffs from being moved around alot on the treadmill and counters at home.

I skipped the iPad 2 for myself, but my son has the iPad 2 so I knew what it was like.

I never planned on skipping the iPad 3 since my iPad 1 was running horribly. Like others, I was experiencing keyboard lags and app crashes.

I restored it to new, added a few apps, and gave it a new home with my mother in law. The 64GB 3G version has been running fine with only about a dozen apps running on it.

There is a food chain at my house. I have the new iPad. My wife has the iPad 2. My daughter has the original iPad.

Not sure what I'll do next year!

I picked up a new iPad on Friday to check it out. The screen was beautiful and it was much faster than my original iPad. But I found myself doing the same tasks that my original iPad is perfectly capable of handling - basic web browsing, Hulu streaming, checking movie times, sending quick emails, and reading Kindle books. I ended up returning the new iPad yesterday. I just couldn't justify the $600 expense right now. If I have some extra cash this summer I may buy it again, but fundamentally, the new iPad provides me with no additional uses right now.

I went from the first to the 3rd and the upgrade is amazing. I loved my old iPad but man I am loving the new one. The graphics are a big improvement as is, the shape of the iPad (less weight, skinny etc.)

Put me in this category as well.

I said from the start there would be no way I would be uprading the iPad every year.

I too am coming from iPad 1. Haven't even opened it yet, waiting on my case.

I already know I'll be estatic!!!

My iPad 1 has been unusable for me since the iPhone 4s came out. It is so slow and crashes all the time. The new iPad is much better.

I did the same thing for the same reason but I decided not to get the 3G model this time as it proved pointless lol

Dear apple....

I dont need 10 hours of battery. Please lighten the load as your ipads are all to thick and TOO heavy.

Regards

I use my original iPad for almost the exact same stuff and feel the same way. The new iPad doesn't seem that much better that I would greatly benifit from upgrading, feels better to spend that money on a good vacation.
