What are you planning for the extra space?

I bumped my wife from an iPhone 4 16gb to a 5 with 32gb. Her 4 is mostly full with just pictures. I figure she'll be using the better camera even more, taking more videos, etc, and will use the extra space.

I went from a 32gb 4 to a 64 gb 5. In part for the camera space, and so I can keep more music and videos on there.

So what are you going to do with the extra space?

Music, photos, videos.

I'm so sick of taking a video of my daughter just to get a popup that I've run out of space. The dumbest thing I did last time around was cancel my 32-gig 4S order in favor of a 16 gig.

EDIT: This time around.... 64-gig.

For a larger music library. ( I have a 32 gb right now)
Or for using it as a USB drive (When the phone gets jailbroken)

I don't use it for USB storage, but I can't wait for it to be jailbroken. I'm going to miss all my tweaks.

Right now I only have 25 music videos and around 2000 songs on there. I figure I'll add more videos and a lot more songs.

I went from iPhone 4s 16GB to iPhone 5 32GB mostly to store more music, videos, and photo.

16GB 4S, will be getting a 64GB 5.

Could get by with less, but with the amount of space video shooting takes up. It's worth it to me.

Finally unchecking "Only sync these playlists" and letting iTunes just sync every darn song I have to my phone will be awesome. :)

I'm getting the 64 so I won't have to keep taking things off of the 32. I have about 1g of space left right now.

The last two iPhones (4S and now 5) I got the 32GB version simply because I know I've been taking more photos and video. With the higher MB photos and HD video, it's only a matter of time before 16GB isn't large enough.

I'm sure some folks may keep more TV or movies on their phones with the larger screen.

Going from a 32GB 4 to a 64GB 5. On my 64GB iPad, I have less than 20GB of storage less, and I still need to redownload a lot of my music from iTunes Match (not a music streaming kind of person).

I have a lot of movies, too-- some of which are 6GB, and that will also grow. Real Racing 3 will be huge, so I'm planning for that. I have a lot of 1GB+ apps. If you use iTunes Match, don't have a lot of videos, 32GB is probably fine.

EDIT: Oh, also I have a lot of photos on my phone which I have no interest in deleting. On my 4, I can't even update apps it's so full.

This. Plus, I will now have this phone for at least 2 more years and don't want to have to worry about space at all during that time.

I imagine with the new camera I will be taking a lot more pictures than I normally do, because now I can (supposedly) get high quality pictures of little bugs on my garden's plants (a la the keynote bee). I'm sure panorama shots will take up lots of storage as well.

Just didn't want to worry about the space at all and since I definitely wasn't going backwards to lower than 32GB, and I do have an iPhone 4 that should fetch me at least $100, the 64GB could be considered a free upgrade by virtue of selling my old phone.

Maybe the apps will be a bit bigger too, since the screen size is larger.

When one device can do just about everything I can do on my computer and be with me everywhere I go, I'll take all the space I can get.

I just use iTunes Match to manage my music on my phone only keep what I want to listen too (right now) on it and if I need something I download it or stream it straight from icloud to my phone.

But I save a ton space on my phone instead overloading with 20+ fv of music .

I went from 32 to 64 this time. I have ~76GB of music (not i dont need all of it at once) but i don't want to have to deal with swapping around when I need to add more. I usually load some videos on for my commute as well. I easily filled my 32GB and having double now will just make everything easier.

Had 16 GB all the time....

This time I ordered a 32 since I am using more and more photos, music, emails, storing more etc...

The extra space is always better than to have none at all.

I went from 16 to 32. My music library is now at close to 10GB and with apps and podcasts added on I have close to no room for pics or video.

Movies mostly. We have a fairly new baby and my memory has gotten FULL a number of times on my iPhone 4S. So i'm excited about the 32GB and apparently the camera on the 5 will record smaller size but still just as good quality.

Always went for 16GB, ordered a 32GB iPhone 5. I'll use the extra space for apps and music. I don't know if you've heard about Real Racing 3 but that's coming out later this year (graphics are amazing) but I'm guessing that will at least be 1.2GB - 1.5GB in size. Then you've got the next Infinity Blade game. It all adds up! I'm so pleased I didn't go for a 16GB model!!
