Debating picking up a 42mm white Sport for $600 off CL today. Crazy? Worth it? I have a "June" preorder. Thanks!

Some people are posting reactions of "meh" and that they are ultimately left checking their phones.

It depends on your use. I work in a hospital and leave my phone in my bag and walk around so it'll be good because I can check text messages, phone calls and emails while away from my phone.

No it isn't. I have a feeling Apple will be sending these out before June, etc.

Just hold tight, save some money and you'll have it soon enough. It's really a complementary device.

I am a "meh" person. The screen really is small. Fit and finish is amazing but I'm kind of torn about the need. This is only after four hours of use though.

About 90 minutes in, I'd say no, unless you just have money to burn.

We're at peak hype at the moment, so it might seem tempting to pay over the odds to pick one up.

That being said, I doubt it is going to be worth paying a premium for it.

I've had mine for less than 5 hours, but I'm going to say no. In fact (I'm sure I will get blasted over this) I think they are over priced by $100-$150 for my sports version. Don't get me wrong I like it so far, but I wouldn't pay a Craigslist Premium just to have one right now.

The people selling on CL are just vultures taking advantage of people. Bad karma. But, if you've got the money to burn...

i wouldn't bother, had my watch (42 SS Leather black) now for 12 hours and its not that fabulous. actually I'm kinda regretting the purchase.

i canceled the 2nd watch i ordered for the wife.

I really like mine. I don't suggest paying more than retail, though. Just order one. If you want a sport, order the least popular model (appears to be the blue band one) and buy whatever band you really want later. You should get it in a week or two.

lol looks like all the hype we built up on these forums the last few weeks set expectations a little too high for lots of people. Hopefully when mine gets here I'll disagree with all this, guess we'll see...

you can get one for $530 on Swappa right now. I use this website all the time.

as far as worth it? I don't have mine yet and IMO it isn't worth that price. But to you it might be! I can't answer that for you.

I'd say no, unless it's an amount that means almost nothing to you.

Mine isn't here yet but I've been playing with the SOs. It's neat but now that I know, I can wait.

No. Your also in a position to read user feedback and reviews, pros and cons, and apple will ship them earlier anyway

Found one in my neighborhood for $600 with Apple Care. That's a $125 premium for my lack of patience. Very tempting!

That's like finding a good looking hooker. It will cost you dearly, and will feel great instantly, but an hour later you will be regretting it.

No. Order a blue one and buy the band separately. The blue ones seem to be shipping right away.

No don't support those scalper scumbacks. This guy in my are is selling 3 space black ss model with link bracelet which is rare and sold out in seconds. I seen these ****** on these forums asking which is in the highest demand so that they can purchase a large quantity and sell for double the price. The only reason why most of you are still waiting is because those ******* bought all the watches. So **** them.

It's their property and they can sell it at whatever price they like. And buyers will pay it if it's worth it to them. I see no coercion here.

I'd just wait. You'll probably get it in the next couple of weeks. The Blue sport band model still says "June" on Apple's website, and you can order one today and get a shipping notice the next business day.

I love the apple watch very much! It was well worth the price and has already changed what I do and how I do it, for the better.

I got turn-by-turn directions in the car, spoken to me, with the directions on my watch, and a different buzz for turning left and right. That was awesome!

I have been speaking my texts, finishing in about 5 seconds for a paragraph that would have taken me 1 minute ordinarily. All without taking anything out of my pocket.

I've checked stocks by simply swiping my finger once.

I made a phone call in the car by saying "Hey Siri, call Andrew". Bam, bluetooth through car stereo.

I get text and email notifications with different buzzes and simply raise my arm to see if they are worth it. If not, I just put my arm down. I yes, I read it, then if I want to respond, I take out my iPhone. If not, i simply put my arm down.

And more!

And this is just the first few hours!

It's absolutely amazing. And, it's beautiful (SS Milanese).

I highly recommend the Milanese band. It is worth it for the look, feel, and variable fitting.

You come to understand what it can do more and more, so I think the people who say "meh" are mistaken and will change their opinion in 1 week. If you just break it open and play with it, it doesn't seem too fabulous, but that's because you're not actually using it in practice.

To answer your question, if you can wait, wait. If you can't and have money to burn, go for it, as you will probably love it, but I would try to find one from someone who actually seems like they are legitimately selling it, as opposed to simply turning a profit.

Seriously? that's a dick move to resell. But karma is a **** and they have a high chance of someone showing up and robbing them.

Where in my post do you see the word coercion? I just happen to believe it is wrong.
