Even though I absolutely love mine, no way would I pay over retail for it. It's a really nice accessory, but it's just not worth any more than it costs from Apple.

I'd have a hard time justifying the upgrade to the SS model too bearing in mind that it functions exactly the same (and smudges/fingerprints more than the aluminium), though that obviously depends on your personal financial situation.

It's funny that I found this post because I was just getting ready to post the same thing . I'm driving an hour right now to pick up a 38 mm sport edition for $425.

I know I'm crazy.

In all honesty I think I'm going to be able to sell it in a few days or weeks when mine arrives and come close to breaking even.

Seriously? that's a dick move to resell. But karma is a **** and they have a high chance of someone showing up and robbing them.

No offense man but you're just wrong in this case. It's capitalism. If someone has the money to buy several of these and resell them there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. It's why Apple puts a cap on how many you can purchase, and if someone chooses to sell theirs and not use them what's the big deal?

By the way this is coming from someone that does not have one on launch day and ordered within the first couple minutes.

Another "No, I'd just wait". I have an June order too. Like other mentioned, they will most likely ship these out before June. Same thing happened to my iPhone 6 plus, it shipped way before it expected. Fingers crossed.

Some people are posting reactions of "meh" and that they are ultimately left checking their phones.

It depends on your use. I work in a hospital and leave my phone in my bag and walk around so it'll be good because I can check text messages, phone calls and emails while away from my phone.

What is the maximum range you can be away from the phone? I wanted to use it while running but without the phone but don't you actually need them both fairly close enough to Bluetooth to work?

It has specific functions. It's not an iPhone. It has its purpose, which is amazing!

no, I don't see why anyone would pay over $50 more than the retail price for the watch. Yeah it's cool but it's not like the iPhone
