Thoughts on MacKeeper?

I just bought a 2018 MBP and ran across MacKeeper. Is MacKeeper it apps like it really necessary and beneficial? Other apps better? Thanks.

Very dishonest marketing and installation process making it look like the iconic Apple automater bot... agreed- avoid!

Do a forum search for it, please. It’s basically malware for your Mac. Avoid.

Many threads have already discussed this.

Malwarebytes is the forum darling for Mac Malware protection for good reason.
