A discussion this meta is good for a a chuckle no matter the outcome. Of course if it stretches past 3 pages it becomes ironic.
As it turns out, the thread in question is a rather sad one in the Help forum, where the problem didn't get resolved.Perhaps one of you can help them, even if it spoils -PowerMac-'s achievement. But at least some good will have come of this thread.
Maybe they subscribed to the thread with the email option, so they don't have to log in or watch the thread, but would still hear about it if someone else posted the answer.He/she hasn't been back since making the post, so it's probably not worth answering it at this point.
Unless of course they're watching like a hawk as a guest, but that would be weird.

Are you going to report your own post, so you can get the thread closed by a mod?
Sometimes we don't get what we want.Hey, I just wanted the thread closed after I posted so that I would have the last laugh......and post.
1. I can't believe you actually looked that up.Out of my last 360 posts, I ended the thread 16 times. I hope that's average![]()
I don't think you can conclude that. In other words, the fact that posts have a 1 in 12.09 chance of being last in their thread doesn't imply that posters (people, that is) have an average rate of making the last post in 1 out of 12.09 of their own threads.1. I can't believe you actually looked that up.
2. Nope, you're less than average. If you were average, you'd've ended the thread 29.77 times in those 360 posts.
Sorry.![]()
He never said he concluded 16 of his own threads, just 16 threads total. Since no one post is special and every 12.09th post is a thread-ender, having a rate of 22.5 posts per thread-ender means he's a prolific poster but not very good at having the last word.I don't think you can conclude that. This place is famous for making people waste their time.I can't believe I looked it up eitherI meant to just look at the first page of my subscribed threads, then I hit page 2... etc. Oh well, thats 4 minutes I'll never get back

Lord knows, I've wasted a ton of time here...for some reason, i kinda feel the same way....
I don't know what you mean by this. What's the distinction between 16 threads in which he posted and "16 threads total"?He never said he concluded 16 of his own threads, just 16 threads total.
That would be kinda juvenile, wouldn't it?
And Q's statistic also shows that the average thread lasts 12.09 posts.

Unless you woke up next to him/her. Then it would be a bloody big deal.It really isn't a big deal, but it's "she", not "he"![]()
