I made a post about this on Ping.
>In 2002, eBay acquired PayPal for $1.5 billion, and that same year, with $100 million of the money he made, Musk founded SpaceX.Almost all government subsidized companies.
He doesn't know how to run something successfully if its not dependent on corporate welfare.
Readers are still more likely to understand Twitter than X.Juli - is there a reason you keep calling X Twitter? Seems like an editor would have picked this up by now.
And what is SpaceX's primary source or revenue?>In 2002, eBay acquired PayPal for $1.5 billion, and that same year, with $100 million of the money he made, Musk founded SpaceX.
Tesla - gives access to all EV competitors to their superchargers. Makes batteries/cars in USA = better for economy. Converting peaker plants to batteries. Sounds like tax payers are getting something valuable.Almost all government subsidized companies.

I'll call it Twitter if I want. And, what's more, people will understand what I'm talking about when I do it.Twitter is no more - it’s called “X” now, like it or not but time to move on from that…
As for Threads - it’s Meta, Facebook or whatever, purpose to take your data and transform it into $$$, for them, not you
This app died faster than Clubhouse lol
lol deadapp.
remember when people left twitter to threads and then Elon introduced revenue sharing?
taking the walk of shame back to twitter to sign up for $8/mo that they made fun of so bad... 🤣🤣
Its dead. Twitter ftw
Well, twitter.com still works and tweets (or whatever they're called now) can still be seen through twitter.com URL. Additionally, when I try to go to x.com, I'm redirected to twitter.com, so Twitter is alive and well.Twitter is no more
It's dead Jim. Just like Twitter. Time for people to find something better to do with their time than social media.
And yet you're both here on MacRumors which is basically a social media site mainly for Apple fans/users 🤣Social media today is like choosing between pest or cholera. I chose none.
Nope, I will never call it that.Twitter is no more - it’s called “X” now, like it or not but time to move on from that…

I went to threads dot net, and it just says to download the app. Is that what they mean by web access??🍸😹🍸😹
ok, whatever ...enjoy living in the past ...Well, twitter.com still works and tweets (or whatever they're called now) can still be seen through twitter.com URL. Additionally, when I try to go to x.com, I'm redirected to twitter.com, so Twitter is alive and well.
remember they fired a lot of people doing this kind of work ...The Twitter name still appears all over the site. Maybe when X Corp stops referring to it as Twitter, others will as well. I'm surprised it's taking so long for them (X Corp) to fully "clean up" the site.
Hmmmmmmmm……
Do you think advertisers will place all their new ad dollars on threads now that there is a web version or do you think they will spend $$$ on Twitter right next to the nazi content?

Twiiter is sooooo zucked.
that's fine, continue living in the past ...Nope, I will never call it that.
I still wonder what they were thinking, not having web access right from the start. A lot of people spend many hours in front of a computer, and if you're at your computer you're going to want to use it rather than reaching for your phone. It's why Apple apps like iMessage work on the Mac, it's why you can make calls on your Mac. People who use their computers a lot want access to everything from them.
That said, Apple is guilty of this bizarre thinking too. The new Journal feature coming out this year isn't on the Mac for some reason. Given how much journaling involves typing, I'm BOGGLING at the fact that it's not on the Mac. Not to mention Apple's own dev stack makes it so easy to create apps that work on both iPhone and MacOS.
The app is useless for me until it has Mac support. I'm sure many others agree!
