Apple Music today announced the addition of three new global radio stations: Apple Música Uno, Apple Music Club, and Apple Music Chill.

The stations join Apple Music 1, Apple Music Hits, and Apple Music Country. Oliver Schusser, Apple's vice president of Music, Sports, and Beats, said:

Apple Music Radio is the beating heart of our service, representing the intersection of exceptional human voices and curation with cutting-edge technology that shapes and influences culture. We put a lot of time and care into making sure these new radio stations are really bespoke, highly curated, and hosted by some of the world's best music commentators with unique programming that we know our listeners will love.

The stations are hosted from state-of-the-art studios in Los Angeles, New York, Nashville, London, Paris, and Berlin. Each has a different theme:

  • Apple Música Uno: Latin music from around the world, focusing on new and current releases, including Música Mexicana and reggaetón, tropical, Latin pop, and more. The station is hosted by Becky G, followed by Evelyn Sicairos and Lechero. Rauw Alejandro and Grupo Frontera have special shows of their own. On-air talent will speak Spanish and English.
  • Apple Music Club: Dance and electronic music with a focus on global club culture, hosted by Tim Sweeney and NAINA.
  • Apple Music Chill: Mood-focused music for respite, wellbeing, and ease, interspersed with "mindful moments" to remind listeners to find center and remain calm, hosted by Sabi with shows from Brian Eno, Stephan Moccio, and Zane Lowe.

Apple Música Uno, Apple Music Club, and Apple Music Chill are available to listen to now in the newly updated Radio tab of the Apple Music app, as well as for free, without a subscription, on the Apple Music Radio website.

Apple Music radio stations (the “live” ones, anyway) are great in concept, and I’m glad they’re putting a few more out there, but it’s disappointing that the Radio section of the app is such a disorganized mess that makes it hard to find the good stuff.

The one that really stands out is “Local Broadcasters”, which can’t be sorted by distance. What exactly do you mean by “local”, Apple?

Looks like it is just the streams of terrestrial radio stations. FUN FACT: You can listen to both iHeart and Audacy stations on Apple Music just by searching.

Exactly! The content is there but it's just so overwhelming and kind of confusing. Plus them making station artwork simple gradients instead of actual artwork was a MASSIVE step back.

Apple Music has been getting much better lately about curating more genres so this is a welcomed change. The hits station I listen to once in a while but not interested in the country and beats1 (mostly hip hop).

PS: whomever is doing apples newer artwork the last year or so needs to be tarred and feathered. It's become so dull and generic. Even the art for generic radio stations are now stupid gradients....they used to be creative album art!

Interesting that in Music, the new radio stations are displayed like this:

| Apple Música Uno | Music Club | Music Chill |

Presumably Apple are strict about using their logo as part of a non-English word mark?

Now there are six of them, I think they could do with some stronger / more recognisable logos.

Music has radio stations? How much does Apple charge for that?
Yup, sure does

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but for the Apple Music radio stations like Beats One and these new ones, you don't need a subscription

Also, for streaming of stations that the music app sources from places like iHeartRadio, TuneIn, NPR, and Audacy, those are completely free as well

Yes, I'm curious—I use Apple Music to organize my own files, but if it works w/o a subscription I might try it.

Honestly the only thing that might make me get pulled into Apple Music...

Are there any stations that only play clean versions of songs? When I first got Apple Music I couldn't find a way to limit explicit tracks. I'd prefer to play clean stations when my kids are in the car without disabling them completely.

Oh wow, I see them now. 25 stations with 5 of them NPR or BBC, no search. no summary for most. I am not impressed. But yes they play without paying for now. I guess Cook does not realize that. Expand the window and the 25 just get bigger. I expected more stations. No way to make favorites. Then $10.99 / month. Don't think so.

We've used this for our own files in the past with only sorrows and misgivings. We've lost album covers with almost every macOS upgrade. Songs go away or become distorted. It almost seems like Apple doesn't want you to listen to your own music.

We stopped upgrading with Music 1.0.6.10 (Catalina) because it got so bad. Out next step is to find a 3rd party player that we can depend on.
