Interesting that in Music, the new radio stations are displayed like this:

| Apple Música Uno | Music Club | Music Chill |

Presumably Apple are strict about using their logo as part of a non-English word mark?

Now there are six of them, I think they could do with some stronger / more recognisable logos.
I noticed and thought the same exact thing. I imagine if they made it Música that might run the risk of folks translating "Apple." Manzana Música Uno lol

I wish Apple would overhaul their entire Radio section. I think it's a great idea in principal, but how they manage it can be so much better. I also agree with them getting a rock station. If it weren't for the sports stations on Sirius, I would think about cancelling and going to apple music full time in the car.

I like this a lot, listen to Apple Music Radio all the time, love that there’s 0 ads

Still waiting for BBC radio in the UK!
Already available, not through the subscription Apple Music 'radio' stations, but through the free TuneIn integration, in the Music app, but also with Siri, for example,

"Hey Siri, play radio station BBC radio"

which then starts playing BBC Radio 1, and not just in the UK, Much the same for any other radio stations around the world.

With some, but very infrequent, ads to play for the TuneIn service I suppose.

Trying out Chill for work, lets see if I zone deeply into this report I am writing...
My go-to's have been "Groove Salad" on Soma.FM (listener supported, which they mention once an hour, otherwise it's pretty much just all music - they also have other channels, and iOS and AppleTV apps), and DI.fm ("Digitally Imported"), which has a ton of channels for electronic music (I tend towards "Chillout" or "Downtempo Lounge"). I think DI.fm has ads in the base version, but I got a subscription ages ago, so no ads/talking ever, just music (IIRC, $48/yr). They also have iOS apps for all their sites (the original is DI.fm but there's also a Jazz site, a Classical one, a Rock one, and I think a few others and the sub covers all of them). And for both DI and Sonos, you can get streaming URLs from them, to put into streaming devices like Sonos speakers.

I like Groove Salad as well :) but again, this and other SomaFM stations, are also all available within Apple's own Music app without any subscription required, through the TuneIn service, and without having to get several different apps on iOS or AppleTV for every station provider. Just search for Groove Salad or SomaFM in the search field on macOS or iOS …

SomaFM offers both “Groove Salad” and “Groove Salad Classic” (my favorite) channels, plus several more “ambient” channels that are great while working in concentration. Plus a couple dozen more channels of crazy diverse genres.

Play for free (donations accepted) by telling Siri “play Soma FM Groove Salad Classic Radio”. I had to write that on a stickie so I can say it straight without confusing Siri. They also sell an iOS & Mac app for a few dollars.

Interesting to see the new Music stations. Good additions to Apple Music! Will check them out in a short while.

Too much censorship in the current stations. They select music with a lot of curse words and then they play the clean versions, which usually sound bad and disruptive. I hate that, it really ruins the music for me. I hope there was an option to always have the original versions played.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but for the Apple Music radio stations like Beats One and these new ones, you don't need a subscription
It appears that you're correct. I don't have a subscription but was able to play one of the new stations (although admittedly I only let it run for a few seconds).

With that said, I can't see the "old" stations, only these three new ones. [Edit: Found them. There's a grey-on-white arrow that only appears when you put the mouse in the right place. Great design there.]

Also are all the radio features on iOS, but not present on Macs?
They're available on my MacOS 12 machine. Presumably they also work on newer versions.

They are soooo slow. Where are phonk, underground hip-hop and trap stations? Probably will have to use Soundcloud forever

I think Sirius has several chill stations at this point but I’ve been enjoying Classic Chill recently. This new Apple Chill station seems very different at first listen, the genres are all over the place.

Are there any stations that only play clean versions of songs? When I first got Apple Music I couldn't find a way to limit explicit tracks. I'd prefer to play clean stations when my kids are in the car without disabling them completely.
The versions they play are edited and basically clean, but maybe not clean enough for some parents. You will still hear words like “damn” and the enuendo isn’t going anywhere, but they aren’t straight cussing or playing totally vulgar stuff.

We've used this for our own files in the past with only sorrows and misgivings. We've lost album covers with almost every macOS upgrade. Songs go away or become distorted. It almost seems like Apple doesn't want you to listen to your own music.

We stopped upgrading with Music 1.0.6.10 (Catalina) because it got so bad. Out next step is to find a 3rd party player that we can depend on.
An old service still available from Apple is ITunes Match, it has worked great for me.

My experience with TuneIn is they like to play commercials before playing the requested streamed content, even when playing content that's freely available (indeed, I already donate to SomaFM - I've paid for the content and TuneIn is stepping in and making me listed to commercials first), which I find mildly infuriating, so I avoid TuneIn when I can.

That is true, most of the times starting up a TuneIn station, but then I usually can listen for hours before the next 3 or 4 commercials come - which I can live with pretty happily ;) but I understand you being infuriated for stations you have already paid for.
