Pro for Apple means more money, so yes it will be called pro. Now a 4 TB iMac with a standard selection of ports can cost us €6,500.Yes I could see all of them return, except I don't think the larger iMac will be called iMac Pro.
MacBook Air should come with full port selection and 12.9" and 14.2" models. The smaller could be your travel model. MBP should differentiate with additional USB4 ports, a fan, better thermals, a much faster processor, a higher quality screen, larger possible RAM and SSD and a 16.2" variant. Both should have equally good cameras and mics. While I'm dreaming MBA should be wedge shaped. I've tried the new MBA and greatly preference the wedge shape and its tapering down toward the user. And give all Apple charges dual ports.I would like a 12” MB, my M1 MBA is nice, but it’s only used as a couch/bed surfer and travel laptop.
How many different versions of the Mac do they need to cover the market?
Maybe this would be the machine to replace the M1 MBA (once stock is depleted) at the $999 price point. Eventually, this machine would see consistency discounts to $949 and even $899. That’d be a darn good deal for a machine like that. The MBA already has a good price point so a 12" machine would have to be considerably less to justify it. If they price it the same do you really want to pay that money for a machine that's only an inch smaller?
The beauty is that is small enough to fit in any A4 or letter sized trays (for instance airplane or train) where the 13 will not fit. And if you need more screen real estate you just add an iPad. the combined weight of the 12 plus an ipad air is less than a macbook proA 12'' MacBook wouldn't makes sense IMO. It's too small and lacks the power for any graphical work and we have iPdas for portability. As Apple tries to sell larger screens in a smaller footprint I think we would rather have a 17 inch laptop instead of a 12 or 11 inch one.
Form me the Home Pod is just too expensive for what it is: a wireless speaker. I would rather add 2-300$ to its price and buy a pair of nice stereo speakers to add to my audio system. For the casual background noise at home I already have cheap portable wireless speakers.
I think the Mac Studio replaced the iMac Pro. Apple even addressed user complaints about modularity on it launch. In this case modularity meant expandability (port wise) and the fact that users were stuck with its display - being an AIO -, not in the sense of it being upgradable internally. A lot of pleaple said that it was a powerful machine, but didn't like the fact that they were tied to that display. The iMac Pro was a temporary solution anyway until the Mac Pro came out.
This! I want them to bring this back. And clicked hoping this was included. Also wasn't there rumors of the Airport routers coming back?
It depends on the workflow for sure but I adore my iMac in blue, and I’m coming from a 39’ ultrawide curved screen. I love the minimalistic design, the screen, and I don‘t see the white bezels while I’m working.I thought it might be, but then I see a lot of people clamoring for am iMac Pro return.
Maybe it is the colorway and smaller screen? My only real issues with the iMac are that I loathe white bezels and the color options are not to my particular taste. I also feel like I would end up with less e-waste w/ a separate monitor that will likely outlast my computer internals through at least 2 replacement cycles.
Sonos really ate Apple's lunch on that one. Their newest portable is pulling people away from UE Booms.Agreed. The HomePod was a poor move on multiple fronts. Price definitely (it needed to be closer to the Sonos pricing $199-$249 would have been good) and they needed the mini, which could compete in the lower end Echo market.
The HomePod failed in the market because of poor positioning: it’s all about price.
