I get it. You can only have 2 active esims active at once but how do you get the 3rd eSIM so you can switch carriers at will

1st imei is verizon
2nd imei is at&t

There isn’t a 3rd imei. So how do you create a 3rd eSIM which I want my T-Mobile line on.

Thank you n

But if both imei numbers are being used which one do you turn off and give to the carrier and how do you switch between 3 carriers on your phone sir

Why IMEI? eSIM`s are not assigned by IMEI normally. Maybe the carrier is asking so you can just give them IMEI 1 or 2. It shouldn`t be a problem. If the carrier supports automatic eSIM activation they may ask for the EID so they can push it directly to your iPhone.

Also you can add one by QR or by the Details provided by the carrier.

You have a lot of opttions and it depends on the carrier. I have 5 different eSIm`s installed on mine and everything works fine. 2 can be active at a time.

Whenever you call a carrier to activate a phone they ask for either imei 1 or 2 to generate an eSIM. What do I say to get a 3rd eSIM activated on my 17 pro.

They have no idea how to do this.

you can just give them either IMEI. If they ask for IMEI 1 or 2, give them IMEI 1 or 2. It doesn't matter. They will give you an eSIM that gets loaded to your phone.

Won’t it bump out one of the two eSIMs that are associated with that imei. Sorry for my ignorance.

Nope. Giving T-Mobile your IMEI won't bump out the numbers. That won't happen until you actually install and activate the eSIM at which point iOS will ask you which currently active eSIM you want to disable.

In any case, it's easy enough to turn off the T-Mobile eSIM and re-enable your AT&T/Verizon eSIM once you're done with activation.

And I can switch any of the 3 on at anytime as long as only 2 are active.

Driving and no att I can turn on Verizon and tmobile?

The IMEI is like a serial number (International Mobile Equipment Identity). It is a unique identifier for your phone. Since you can be on two carrier networks at once, you have to have two. But they aren't specific to any eSIM. You should be able to give every carrier IMEI 1 and let the phone figure it out. Only time I ever gave anyone IMEI 2 was because the rep had me dictating it over the phone and I think he was making a typo.

Why are you paying for 3 US carriers though? Do you live/work in a dead zone?

I’m sorry for bothering you. I’m just confused. This is not my forte. You ask the carriers and they have no idea what this means.

Can you take a screen shot and show me all your eSIMs so I can show them please.

You’re just overthinking it.

If it helps, just turn off one of your existing eSIM lines and give them the “available IMEI” as it says in the General-> About. They could just use that info and send the eSIM directly to your phone.

Once it’s downloaded, your iPhone asks you which one you want to keep as primary and which one as the secondary during the installation of that eSIM. The process should be pretty straightforward.

After that, you can just choose with 2 of 3 lines you want to keep enabled at one time as you wish.

What is so confusing. There are (2) physical IMEI numbers on newer iPhone devices. IMEI, and IMEI2. With eSIM technology an iPhone 17 for example has storage for 8 different eSIM slots.

That means that you are able to cycle your up to 8 eSIMs (associated with a carrier/phone number) between the (2) physical IMEI S/N to have (2) active phone numbers active at the same time.

What are you really wanting to do here based on your vague questions? As a reminder for all these functions to work without issue your iPhone 17 (example) needs to be Carrier Unlocked.
