not sure if this has been said but I found a fix. Unpair your Apple Watch, if you have cellular plan don’t remove.

Repair Apple Watch to phone and the 3 month shows. Enjoy :)
You superstar! Now showing for me 😁

Tried contacting the Support team 3 times. The first time I was told that the offer is valid only on purchases from Dec 14th (I objected it with their T&C), the second time I was told that I was not eligible, because before purchasing Apple Watch S6 I already had Apple Watch S1. The third time I was told that I'll receive an email with a code and instruction (not specified when, as the advisor did not have it in her manual). Trying to unpair and pair my watch with my iPhone.

It helped to unpair and pair the watch.

They really have no idea what they are talking about. I wonder if it's even worth calling them up just to be fed different (and wrong) answers every time.

Wow that was easy

On the chat 15 mins and passed to an senior advisor and gave me a code snd has me sorted til April 14th

Can’t believe it wasn’t easier for everybody like that

It looks like this is down to the age-old problem of having two Apple IDs.

Apple Fitness+ latches on to the Apple ID you use for iTunes and App Store purchases (if you open Fitness+ and tap your account on the top right, it will bring up your Media/Purchases Apple ID). However, it looks like the Fitness+ three month trial offer gets allocated to the iCloud account you're logged into on your Apple Watch. In my iPhone Settings app, if I log out of my old Gmail account under "Media and Purchases" and log in to my iCloud account, the three month trial appears in Fitness+.

This is no use, though, as the three month trial needs to be allocated to the account you use for Media and Purchases, not your iCloud account, otherwise you'll have to ditch all your apps and music just to make use of the three month trial.
You sir are a genius.

I have a question to this topic:
I got my iPhone in Germany, had everything set up as a German. I am subscribed to Apple Music. I’m living between two countries (Germany, UK) and I’ve set all my devices to REGION UK.

Yet I once tried to install a UK-only app and it wanted me to switch region of the App Store to UK? But I couldn’t, because that would’ve meant cancellation of my music subscription.

I have a new series 6 watch and I updated to 14.3 and I don’t have that trial offer. Is that the reason behind it?

I was really hoping I could try that offer out and get some distraction...

many thanks!

EDIT: and just to clarify, Fitness+ doesn’t even show up in my app... I guess that’s because media&app purchases are set to REGION GERMANY rather than UK? But that is so frustrating.

“Dear Customer

The software update we have just released has a bug in it. It’s your problem now. You fix it. If you lose your data in the process of following our instructions, that’s your fault too.

Love Apple”

The BestBuy rep I spoke to said I should receive an email with the code in 24-48 hours. Apple Support said I could sign up for the 3 month trial today and that it would be extended an additional 3 months when I get the code.. but I think I’m going to wait a day and see if I get the code from BB to avoid a potential headache. I know I’m being impatient, but we’ve been waiting for this launch since September, and I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect to be able to sign up for the service with the promised offer on release day.
I spoke to a BB rep yesterday too and got the same story. They said codes seem to be going out based on when you ordered your watch - first to order, first to get code. I ordered 9/25. Still no code as of this AM but I will update here if it comes today.

I received my 3 mo extension code from Best Buy this afternoon!

I wasn’t feeling like pairing/unpairing so I logged out of my media account and logged into my iCloud account just to see if this would solve it. I also restarted my phone and fitness+ icon disappeared from workouts app completely. I then switched media account to what it was before just to bring the icon back, restarted phone again and bam, 3 month trial is now available. So no pairing/unpairing was needed in my case luckily.

So, I didn't check Fitness app first today (should have done that..) but I just logged out of Media & Purchases in Settings -> Apple ID and logged back in immediately and it worked!
