To ultra have you ever tried the seidio obex for the iPhone 6s Plus. I've been threw every water proof case out there. The seidio might be what your looking for. The screen is flush and the sound is almost perfect. The only reason I'm thinking about keeping the thule over the seidio is because the thule snaps together tightly. The seidio may come apart when dropped. If you do try it I would be interested to know how you like it since you have the same opinions on the Thule as I do.

My Sedio case came in today! Let's hope this is the one!! Or else it'll be returned. Haha

I've had this case on for a while now and I must say, I love it. The sound is clear. The fitment is great. Little to no gap between the screen protector and iPhone's glass.

Finally got my hands on the Thule Atmos x5. The folks at Best Buy out in Hollywood literally had to dig through their newest shipment to find the case. I like the case so far, although there's a couple things I might change. Build quality great, provides just the right amount of girth for a guy like me with big hands yet is still small enough to be comfortable in the pocket (which is why I didn't get the 6s+). Thumb reader takes a little practice but still works. One thing I'm really not liking is the sound. I usually wear headphones or use a bluetooth speaker. On speakerphone or trying to play music through the speaker is the only area where this case is a bit of a letdown. Part of me is wondering if I should just cut open the speaker section and earpiece section, but that defeats the whole waterproof aspect of the case. I needed a case because I'm going on a trip but I may either return it or sell it and just order the x4 when I get back. We'll see.

I just got my X5 today and no one can hear me. I followed the instructions and watched the video and inserted the speaker end 1st into the case then rest of body into the case. Took it apart tried again and still no one can hear me and they say I sound like I am in a tunnel. Called Thule and they said they have a few calls about the "muffled" sound quality and are suppose to get back with me. One other thing I didn't like about the X5 was when typing the response to the touch screen was really slow. This sucks I really love the case maybe I can return it to Best Buy and get the X4 directly from Thule.

Yeah I picked up the clear one since I decided to switch it up this year and get a gold iPhone instead of space gray

anyone get the fingerprint reader to work with this case? i just got it from best buy and i cant get it to unlock or use apple pay, maybe one out of 25-30 times it will actually recognize i'm using my finger but will still deny it. i also cant get it to recognize a new fingerprint when i try to add a new one with touch id.

Mine worked just fine.

Takes some getting use to but you have to push it to the point of almost pushing the home button. I got the technique down buy logging in and out of Paypal with my thumb. Needless to say trying to get into the phone also took a couple tries at times.

Quick wrap up on the X5. I ended up taking mine back to Best Buy today for return after trying it out for about 10 days while overseas. Overall the build quality and ruggedness of the case is great. Protection is a few steps above the Otterbox Defender which was my long time iPhone case for previous generations of the iPhone. The case does lack a bit though in some important areas that ended up being a deal breaker for me. Sound quality was the biggest one. Due to the enclosed design, sound quality coming out of the phone as well as going in went down quite a bit. Sound coming out is almost painful especially at high volume, I got around it for the time being by turning the sound down to about 70% when I needed the alarm or wanted to listen to something minus a bluetooth speaker or headphones. With the sound all the way up sound becomes distorted which even makes my ringer (the Galaga opening theme) sound horrible. As far as sound going in there were a few instances where I recorded video while walking around with my travel party and the speech on the video is a bit tinny. The touch screen and thumb reader take practice. Due to the screen protector being slightly raised from the screen you have to work a bit especially at the corners and also while trying to pull up the control center. The thumb reader still works but takes practice. I had to nearly press the home button to get it to work, but it does work. I didn't drop test the case or anything like that since I was planning on taking it back after a couple days of use but I think my phone would have lived after being dropped from ear hight (I'm 6'5"). The side buttons work fine. Overall I think Thule is going to see a lot of mixed reviews with this product, there are going to be people who love it and people who don't. I fall in the middle and after walking around the streets of Athens as well as some of Greece's adjacent islands I was glad to have my phone in a case, just wish it was the x4 which I will be ordering either from Thule or a certified seller who carries the updated model.
