I wasn't expecting the quad-core on the base iMac. Loved that so much that I called and asked if I could swap my recent 17-day old iMac purchase and the guy did. AWESOME!!!!

big thumbs up! Ill be buying mine this weekend. So excited that they are offering the trackpad option. I already have a magic mouse and was looking at selling the new one on ebay..now I don't have to deal with that mess anymore 🙂

Well you have the best CPU available and the best GPU they could have put in the imac. So i'm not sure how anyone could give it a thumbs down.

I put my money where my mouth is, I said if they put in 69x0 series GPU i'd buy one and I did.

Definitely thumbs up !!!

Very good mobile GPU,
Best i7 2600 3.4 ghz Sandybridge CPU as BTO option,
2 thunderbolt ports (TWO),
SATA 3 built in,

Really all I wanted and wished for !

i think its a good refresh. I like the current design. I just wish the hard drive was easily accessible so it could be swapped.

Thumbs up on the hardware, just what I was hoping for.

Thumbs down on the 4 - 6 week wait for the SSD option.

Thumbs up if after waiting 6 weeks you get a OS Lion upgrade.

Thumps up or thumbs up, if waiting 4-6 weeks before ordering nets a free ipod instead of clicking now and waiting.

Thumbs up, even though I'm not in a market for an iMac (but I do have a 2010 model I sometimes use at home). Graphics cards are a good sign. Maybe you can stick them in the MBPs too, Apple?

Thumbs up definitely! Quad core on the base spec is AWESOME!

+1. This is really the only thing keeping me from ever owning an iMac. I want to quickly and easily get in there to swap my drive out if I want to upgrade it or even more importantly in case of drive failure. This is why I love the MacBook Pro.

All that said, congrats all you iMac folks, looks like you scored big today! If I was an iMac guy I'd be placing my order for that 3.4GHz i7 right now!

Neither, how about a thumbs up 😉 Anyway, I'm surprised that Apple stuck two ThunderBolt ports on the 27".

The refresh came when i was in the bus on my way home, kept refreshing and suddenly the page came up.. i bought it instantly when i came home.

27" iMac see ya soon!!!!!

Two Thumbs Up! I am surprised the base 21.5" received a quad-core processor. The extra Thunderbolt connector for the 27" is a sign of the future.
