If Sprint has micturated on Tidal, that's enough for me to say 'PASS'...

I find the idea of having to have more than one music supplier subscription because some diva artists want to play 'God' rather disgusting. If they are pissed at the options for distribution currently, they should all come up with something that serves ALL artists better rather than playing childish games and walling off their works for certain outlets. 'United we stand'?

Currently I either buy physical discs, purchase over iTunes, or use Sirius/XM. I don't need, not want, multiple accounts. Nope...

This is a dumb comment. Jay-Z is almost universally considered a top-5 rapper. "The Beatles are trash". See, I can make a trash comment too.

You just equated jay-z's stature to being in the same ballpark as The Beatles'. I can't even...

I guess agree to disagree, respectfully :)

Debating preferences is a tough one though, admittedly

I listen to Jay-Z at least once a week. Doesn't affect me as I own the music. This is the problem with renting music or really, leasing. Once you stop paying or Apple feels like it or the Artist has a conflict of interest, the listener suffers.

IT's still far better to buy the music you love.
I could't agree with you more!
I don't want to RENT music because when would it ever stop?
I just prefer to own what I like.
However, I am a Amazon Prime subscriber in which I get their Prime Music catalog for free.
Life is good.

Tidal still around? Hopefully he didnt put all his $$$ into it.......

In fairness, your comment labeling him as "Trash" doesn't prove anything, other than intentionally disparaging against him. I'm not a fan of Jay-Z either, but he WAS a top rapper at one point. You're just Nay-saying against him without making a valid argument, even though you don't appreciate him in the music industry (Which is understandable). At one point you admittedly purchased his albums, so don't act like you weren't supporting the cause regardless.

This is why these streaming services are DOA to me. I don't want to be at the behest of the music industry complex on when I can listen to a song and when I can't.

He's so rich he has rollis that don't tick-tock and audema

Ball so hard, got a broke clock, Rolleys that don’t tick tock
Audemars that’s losing time, hidden behind all these big rocks

That's how rich he is. He's got drawers of expensive watches that don't work

So, to understand and enjoy rap music you must know what are the most expensive vanity items currently popular?

He is desperate to be relevant.
Wow. Are you serious?! He's married to BEYONCÉ, on top of that he is worth more than 500 million! Those two together are worth more than a billion dollars! Get the f out of here talking about he's trying to be relevant. EVERY studio album he's released has went to number 1. Only a VERY select few can say that.

I can safely say I've never searched for music from Jay Z or Kanye West and that I never would.

At one point, sure definitely supported. Before I knew any better and when His jams sounded good despite his personal life bleeding in there. I liked Kanye a lot even with him being a total hot head. I liked his art. I still do to an extent. I respect his "crazy" rant against radio (establishment, illuminati).. as someone who didn't pay $100+ to go to that show out in Sacramento (I also won't pay to see him as of the past handful of years). He now seems different and fried now though. The 2017 Kanye seems catatonic and perhaps misled by some evil people now. After all, Kanye married into the illuminati too. Quite literally. He was just conflicted about it

Can't say any of Jay-Z's recent output before tuning out captured me in any way. Without rick Rubin he's lost. Some of his not recent work is good. Blueprint comes to mind. He was different then

Reminds me of Eminem fizzling. Eminem should've ended after Eminem show potentially. He's a joke now. Same with Dre. 2001 is one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time, but Detox is like the Half Life 3 joke of that genre. He's a business man, now. Through and through. Maybe even though he still has to make a living somehow and people claim Dre is a sellout, at least he hasn't tarnished the legacy that is 2001: The Chronic.

Sometimes people should know when to quit and throw in the towel to preserve what they had imo instead of keep trying to stay relevant. End on a high note. Like Breaking Bad, for example.

I think Jay-Z has enough of an ego, that calling him trash isn't the most esoteric description of him. And it's not like he's reading MR / cares. And I've already mentioned supporting him previously , as in helping to contribute to his success. It's a bummer but it happens
