Hmm, just got an email from Apple saying that I could pre-order a copy in store. Since I'm going past Regent St tomorrow anyhow, I may just ask them to do that tho I doubt it would speed up those v long check out lines.

I've often had Apple shipments show up at the door almost the same time that I've received my Shipping Email. Basically, the whole operation is in the hands of FedEx. Apple moves their goods out through FedEx's distribution chain where it sits within one or two days from promised delivery day and destination. Working backwards, FedEx slaps your label and sends it off to meet the delivery date. That's when I bet the shipping notice is issued and it makes its way back through Apple's system. I'm pretty confident of receiving Tiger by 4PM Friday even though my order has stayed at "Preparing Shipment" for more than 48h hours now.

Interesting, mine is shipping, but it's in Ontario Canada right now... Here's hoping for a Friday arrival!

I don't seem to get emails from Apple anymore when my stuff ships...didn't get anything for Mac Mini and now Tiger lol
I hope for a delivery today, as my Tiger is pretty close to me now...

My order confirmation said to expect delivery in 3-7 days, which is the main reason I cancelled! I hope you get it by friday, it's just too cruel otherwise...

Advance online orders are probably sent to regional distributions hubs first(prior to 4/26), then on to customers at various times to ensure delivery close to, but not significantly prior to, the 6:00pm Friday release.
The shipping email I recieved was not specific to Tiger, and struck me as a generic Apple notification, with references to shipping methods and delivery times up to 5 days. Pre-orders of Tiger can be reasonably certain that they are part of a larger initiative, and can safely ignore the generic rhetoric.

Been trying the same since mine shipped yesterday afternoon - nothing showing on tnt for me
It appears UK Orders are shipping via TNT (UK) rather than TNT Nederlands, and all my orders shipped this way have been on next working day delivery, I assume Tiger will be no different.
However, TNT in my area don't seem to be able to translate next working day into an ACTUAL next working day delivery. Everything so far has taken two days, even though the tracking information quite clearly states next working day! Hence I'm not holding my breath for delivery tomorrow, I reckon it'll be Tuesday for me (taking into account the Bank Holiday)

If you havent already done so, you need to select "Reference" not "Consignment" on the TNT site.dpclark said:
