I caved last night with almost 6 days of uptime and are now back into hours. :(

Tiger seems to, slowly, eat away HD space, and when I was down in 5 GB free space on my iBook last night I shut it down and started it up again this morning. Seems like the running periodicals doesn't free up the "missing" HD space.

Freed up over 1 GB of space by rebooting, but was a bit concerned as the boot time this morning was very long and there was two(!) recovered files folders in the trash. So I did a reboot right away and this time it booted very quickly and system is running smoothly...

There might still be room for a few minor updates for the Tiger... ;)

my bad indeed, i'll post again just before i reboot for the next update.

I think we can call this a wash, since the update things get reset and there really insn't a pressing need to show *how* long its been since your last reboot....
