The Florida Highway Patrol is seeking a search warrant for hospital records that would document the treatment Tiger Woods received after an auto accident early Friday morning, TMZ.com has reported, citing unnamed sources.
The Florida state police, according to the Web site's report, want to determine if the injuries Woods sustained resembled those from an auto accident or domestic violence.
When contacted Monday by ESPN, Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman Kim Miller said the FHP has made no statements to anyone regarding Woods and warrants.
But according to the TMZ.com report, the state police think they can show probable cause of a crime committed during the events that unfolded Friday.
So his endorsement deals with General Motors, Titleist, General Mills, American Express, Accenture and Nike, Inc. maintain that privacy? Somehow I tend to view privacy as just that; not being a pitchman for some of this nation's largest companies and being one of the best golfers in the world.
So you see no difference between business and personal realms? Having a separate private personal life and a more visible business life don't really contradict each other. Just because Woods is very visible in his business role doesn't mean people should have equal access or exposure to what goes on in his personal life.
I admire Wood's his success and recognize his many accomplishments in golf. Yet many times these pro athletes often want to play both sides of the fence; being a sports celebrity, being pursued for top corporate endorsements, and (in Woods' case) marrying a Swedish model, yet somehow clawing at privacy and complaining when they don't get it.
Woods has never really had a problem getting privacy. There is absolutely nothing wrong with seeking privacy when you are overexposed in your business life. I challenge you to think of how much privacy you would seek if you had cameras and people following you all the time in your business life. I know I would miss the privacy and would seek it out whenever I could, just as Woods does. I wouldn't want my family or my personal issues constantly exposed and I would certainly do everything in my power to keep them just that, personal.
No smear intended; just noted that Woods doesn't seem to want to comment to police on a car accident; that is curious and seems to indicate a larger problem.
Woods rarely comments on his personal life, I don't see how not commenting on vehicle accident is any more curious than him not telling you what he likes to do when he is on his private jet.
no criminal charges, no celeb conspiracy, no hiding something. Those of you who continue to believe he is covering something need to worry more about the lack of meaning in your sad lives instead of concentrating on someone else's and your misguided right of 'entitlement' to get into theirs.
