TikTok Returns to Apple's App Store

I absolutely don’t care if TikTok is banned or not.

I do care if corporations are free to ignore laws.

Even if in this case it really doesn’t matter. Even if you think it’s a good thing in this case. It’s a slippery slope and at some point they will be allowed to ignore important laws. That’s why this is worse than any symbolic bending of the knee.

Uphold your laws or change them!

As EU citizen, I must say, US betrayed us as a partner. US can never be trusted or relayed upon. And this is not about the TAX. At least someone had the balls to show its true values, not like democrats who where whining and hiding their agenda.

To be fair, EU has its own share of problems. Many many problems. So it's no saint, but at least stands up to its beliefs.
Good luck to US going against China on its own!

Dutch politician wants to start piece neogations between Russia and Ukraine. EU: NO, if you do that Russia wins!

Trump starts piece neogations with Russia and the Ukraine. EU: WE ALSO WANT TO NEGOTIATE.

Also the EU is going against China, enforcing strict import tarrifs on Chinese made EVs and goods from Temu (etc).

The sooner the EU collapses the better.

Did the US start negotiations with Russia AND Ukraine? Or did it just start talking with Russia about how to pillage Ukraine (not "the Ukraine", although your language betrays your leanings)?

But I noticed that adding "the" in front of Ukraine is incorrect, I've updated my post. Thank you for mentioning it.

The US needs to stay out of the Ukraine/Russia debacle, completely.

As for the article, I don't care about this TikTok thing, at all; the whole controversy and reasons were made up because Zuck and Elon got their knickers in a twist about losing to a foreign company. Congress people couldn't keep their story straight when listing off the reasons so they were all over the place...

.and we have a few more important and concerning things happening here.

We don't know, but considering the DOJ was installed by Trump, and Apple has now illegally re-released Tik Tok on their App Store, I think the answer is pretty obvious.

If by dismantle, you mean "remove all the political players that target people based on their politics and were key components in the government being weaponized against opponents" then you're correct.

Yes it is easy to write Nazi. Everyone knows what a historical Nazi is. Elon Musk knows what Nazis were, what they did, how they rose to power,...he chose to give a few Nazi salutes after Donald's win, he chose to attend far right rallies, his friend Kanye writes anti-semitic and pro-Nazi posts,...

My family actually escaped from real Nazis and throwing a questionable arm motion is far from it

And his "salute" was way too close to a Nazi salute, as supported by how so many in Europe felt about it publicly in comments all across media (and discussed on here before at length in other threads)

His appearance at the AfD conference further supports how "way too close to fascistic tendencies and preferences " Elon is

"Targeting people based on their politics" and "weaponized government against opponents" means:

"How dare you investigate our blatant crimes and attempt to overthrow a free and fair election. That was beyond the pale. So we are going to retaliate by firing those who looked into our crimes (including those who were just doing what their boss told them to do) AND on top of it do exactly what we falsely accused you of doing."
