Tile lost me as a customer after the umpteenth time I received an unsolicited message in the evening informing me that it had found my Tile at the office.

Except said Tile was attached my my Airpod case that was with me at home - every single time...

Yeah, gave up completely at that time. It's not just sucky hardware that turned me of, it was the app as well.

I ended up having to disconnect the Bluetooth Tile connection when I found out it was that that was blocking the microphone working on my Airpods during a telephone call.

Tile rested on their laurels for all this time and became a one trick pony. When they should have diversified they simply doubled down on their blind belief that there was no one else who would do something similar.

So yeah, to hell with Tile. They brought this on themselves with their own inaction and failures. Bring it on, Apple.

The Apple tag will do no more than a Tile, or any other the other trackers. The advantage Apple has is it can force you to be in the "community" expanding the ability to track you lost stuff. This is a big advantage and will make the Tags work well. But thats all they have.

I hope Apple have different form factors like Tile, and I hope they price them right. And they must have a replaceable battery. I have a few tiles, 4 or 5 from memory, and I will get the Apple ones for a trial when they come out.

I wish Apple would allow the others (Tile Etc) to be part of the Apple Ecosystem.. Makes getting their phone more valuable.

I find the Tile works well, and cant get found by the community in less than 10 minutes at an Airport or shopping centre.
