I have several Tiles at home and will shortly replace them with Apple's version. The Tile's short-range was always their Achilles Heel.

Tile may well have been in the running as an initial FindMy partner except they jumped the bandwagon and started crying court cases based on the Rumors prior to any release.
This will be another interesting one to watch. 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
Tile can have the same advantage that apple has by releasing a find my app compatible version. why are they whining? If anything they are multi-platform and should see it as an advantage.
With that said, I look forward to dumping my Tile devices and putting the size of the Find My network on my side for finding lost/misplaced items.

Tile will complain that they shouldn't have to make an Apple compatible tile. Apple should be forced to make a tile compatible iPhone...
I assume they attached a Tile to their innovation and R&D group because they sure as hell can't find them anymore.
Sorry Tile, I tried your product and it doenst work. Tested by placing one in my kid's stroller at Disneyland (and one would think there would been plenty of parents with the Tile app). Nope, couldn't find the stroller on the app even I know where exactly it is.
My worthless tiles are already in the garbage jerk wads.

The amount of good will Apple could have purchased by deploying the Find My network and leaving well enough is alone is now lost because of $29 tags and abusing competitive advantage with the U1 chip.
Surely they will end up spending more on litigation over this boner move than they will ever make on AirTags.

I dont really get this business... isnt bluetooth range too short for this beyond finding your keys at home?
and tiles/airtags are too big for put them on wallet or a remote...
20 years ago some of us had those keychain you would clap or wistle and them respond with a music, I dont know if bluetooth range is any better than that.

Tile can just disappear. I am sick of companies like this crying about everything.
The first tile I had was a total suck fest, it wouldn't beep half the time you asked it to and then the battery dies and you just have to send it back and buy a new one from them at a slightly reduced price.

Apple opened up find my to third parties first....then released their own tracker. That's fair. **** Tile complaining. For once apple did things the right way and this is a level playing field.
It’s bigger, tile is Saying that Apple’s privacy updates was hindering them and causing a blow to their business, next thing you know they make it so only apple’s airbags uses it’s ecosystem and you get an anti trust hearing now lolol

What can you do though, the tile app claims to use your location 24/7 and it was something that irritated me, who knows with Apple
They knew about this for a long time. It was noted in the early iOS 13 beta builds (WWDC 2019) referencing the device. Just sell them for less then Apple.

I’m ordering a 4 pack and replacing all my tiles. So excited for air tags.
Apple literally opened up their Find My Network to 3rd parties. Tile doesn't have a leg to stand on.
They're acting like they have a right to affect whatever changes they want to Apple's platform. Remember when there weren't apps on phones except for a select few that entered into special agreements with the phone-makers?
Intended or unintended, it is never going to be a fair fight with Apple with their sheer volume, vertical integration, and they can just throw money at any problems. The competitors have to adjust, be more nimble and find their targeted customers with their niches.
Buying 4 as well. I do not currently have a tile, I had the first one and refused to give any more money to them for a product that didn't work half the time.
