"We welcome the opportunity to discuss these issues further in front of Congress tomorrow"
Yeah, but in the statement, no issues are described. It's a bit dishonest from that CEO.

I would guess the main point of Tile making this press release is to try to get attention and remind everyone to check out their products amidst all of the Air Tag hoopla.

It’s bigger, tile is Saying that Apple’s privacy updates was hindering them and causing a blow to their business, next thing you know they make it so only apple’s airbags uses it’s ecosystem and you get an anti trust hearing now lolol

What can you do though, the tile app claims to use your location 24/7 and it was something that irritated me, who knows with Apple
Apple Airbag, that will be in their car, right?

I have a set of Tiles and they have saved me plenty of times, and they're right-- they totally pioneered this space... But the company is just the product. And it was a little annoying to have a set of features behind a subscription.

Apple can 'afford' to have a product like AirTags.

I haven't owned tile, but have owned competitors, which the batteries last about 6 months, and don't work when you need them to work. That said, I have been waiting for apples' better designed products for some time. It is nice to get a product that is integrated with others that you already own, who use the same network of things you currently use. This is why people like integrated computers, phones, and so on verses incompatible devices from multiple vendors. If their product was superior, then everyone would have and use them. Thing is, their product is mediocre, and now they are just shouting sour grapes to a competitor. If their product was better, they would not be afraid of competition.

Just yesterday my Tile’s battery died and I was going to buy a replacement. Then I thought, maybe I should wait...

I’ve loved my Tiles, but Like Palm, Tile will go away because Apple found a way to do it better. Thanks, Tile. Fare thee well.

Wait, tile doesn’t provide any reasons to believe apple is being anticompetitive...

“Hey congress, we don’t have any proof that apple is being unfair, but they hurt our feelings. Could you find some proof for us? Pretty please?”

Have a bunch of Tiles and whilst useful i have found they are limited and the app awkward to use. Being able to change the battery was a plus and am not sure apple will let you do that. *correction apple will*

Agree their business model is pretty much dead but if I'm honest i only used it to find items around the house so i don't rely on (or haven't had to) their network.

The airtags though are the future......but are too expensive for me to fork out for so I'll stick with my tiles until they die.

Idk if the so-called “apple opening up” alone is enough to make any judgement. The way I see it, Apple can really do a whole lot behind this “openness” and only people working in that industry long enough could truly understand. I always go skeptical on big companies because they have the resources to literally do whatever they want, because you know, CAPITALISM!

I have a Tile Keysmart device I got a few years ago. It was rechargeable but seem to drain it’s battery and I always forgot to recharge it. It would also sometimes ping my phone without me deliberately pushing the find button. I stopped using if after a few month due to the annoyances. I like that these will work with CR2032 batteries and last a year or more. Sure, the key rings are a little pricey but as we all know the third parties will fulfill the demand.
