You seem to not understand the point of this case.Is this about the Apple App Store, or the Epic App Store?
Oh, that's right. It's Apple's App Store. And Epic broke the rules. Cry me a river.

Except then never did it. They sent out the form letters that goes out to any company that is getting their certificates revoked that all certificates held under the parent company will be revoked if the issue is not resolved within 28 days(?).The first mistake Apple made was cutting off Unreal Engine in retaliation to the suit until a judge ordered them to restore developer access. Apple better hope that doesn't come back to bite them.
The contract for Fortnite on the App Store is with Epic Games, while the contract for the Unreal Engine is with Epic Games International S.a.r.l.Except then never did it. They sent out the form letters that goes out to any company that is getting their certificates revoked that all certificates held under the parent company will be revoked if the issue is not resolved within 28 days(?).
Or... and hear me out here.. they run the most profitable company in America. One of the highest in the world. That responsibility comes with.. a lot of responsibility and time needed IN the company. Not wasted in this frivolous whiny lawsuit.Hhhmmmm, Apple tries to limit Tim Cooks time on deposition, Apple does not want Craig Federighi to testify and tries to get Eric Neuenschwander instead. Apple tries to get documents withheld from Epic. This is not a sign that Apple is confident that it is going to win.

Or that Apple considers Cook and Federighi's time valuable. A quick check on their compensation would prove one way or the other.Hhhmmmm, Apple tries to limit Tim Cooks time on deposition, Apple does not want Craig Federighi to testify and tries to get Eric Neuenschwander instead. Beat me to it, haha *slow clap*or a battle royale
Guess what, you have no clue what’s going to happen....Oh no it's just obvious that you DON'T want Apple to win based on your post. Guess what, they will. Guess what, you're wrong.
Apple just needs a good CEO. I am sure the 4 hour depo sent all their equal right progress out the window. Why does apple need a transgender ceo anyways. It's not like being transgender automatically makes you better at running a consumer tech company all the sudden. Apple already has a high profile gay ceo and in my opinion Apple has been worse since he has been there. Not because he's gay but because he's not a good CEO imo. Also I don't want a ceo who tries to use his position for things that aren't directly tied to that company. Politics and personal lifestyles are not directly related to electronics. For the other stuff he can have personal fundraisers etc. It's not Apples job to make the world politically correct. It's there job to build a computer or device that I actually want to use.If I were them (Craig and Tim) I would be pissed having to waste time with such thing. They could be using resources to improve diversity inside the company instead. Apple needs a transgender CEO btw. As a gay man I know we need to do more.
In your ideal world. In an ideal world, the Judge would force Apple to disclose the per-Qtr, per-Category Revenue Numbers for the top ten iOS App Stores around the world !
And by that, I mean here in the States, in mainland China, etc., & ideally, covering the Entire History of the App Store.
Once done, Apple would then need to devote more resources to promoting Apps OUTSIDE of Game Apps, Apple Arcade, & apps for Little Kids.
In other words, the Cat would be Out of the Bag !
Epic says they are doing what they are doing for ALL App Devs.
Here is their chance to Prove It !
Get Apple to disclose the per-Qtr, per-Category Revenue Numbers for the Top 10 iOS App Stores over the entire history of the App Store, for EVERYONE to see & analyze !
The apps promoted by the iOS App Store's "Today" tab, day-to-day, is Extremely Telling !
And it is the Best Data Point that is available !
It doesn't provide specifics, but it tells EVERYONE what Apple knows.
In a truly ideal world, Apple would create a 2nd App Store, that does NOT include Game Apps, Apple Arcade, OR apps for Little Kids !
If that were to happen, Adults would return to the App Store !
Until then, it's (primarily) for the Young & the Dumb !
Except they didn'tThe first mistake Apple made was cutting off Unreal Engine in retaliation to the suit until a judge ordered them to restore developer access. Apple better hope that doesn't come back to bite them.
They banned Epic's dev account entirely, and that also distributes Unreal Engine. While uncool, it's exactly what the dev agreement says they'll do if you're caught circumventing the rules. The first mistake Apple made was cutting off Unreal Engine in retaliation to the suit until a judge ordered them to restore developer access. Apple better hope that doesn't come back to bite them.
Revolutions only start when SOMEONE crosses the line. It's all about Epic wanting more profits for something that Apple created and developed over years. THEIR app store. It really isn't about Epic wanting to help game developers or consumers. Their business and privacy practices are shady.
What are these “questionable” practices you’re talking about? Please enlighten me.Why are they the most profitable company? Because of questionable practices that are now landing them in court. Suck it up fanboi, this is merely the thin edge of the regulatory heat that is coming Apple's way from a lot of directions.
Everyone is so fixated on everyone else also having 30% of profit just like Apple. That is not the problem. The problem is EVERYONE else other than Apple allows people other ways to purchase the content or sideload the content. The Xbox and PlayStation don't have a problem of requiring 30% profit on apps because 99% of those apps can also be got from playstation, the web, PC or mac programs hooked up to a TV etc.Why are they the most profitable company? Because of questionable practices that are now landing them in court. Suck it up fanboi, this is merely the thin edge of the regulatory heat that is coming Apple's way from a lot of directions.
Enlighten me.You seem to not understand the point of this case.
