Good point. The article said:

"The milestone device was kept by Apple" ...which probably really means that it was the billionth iOS device _made_ by serial number or something.

Still somehow the share prices goes down, never seems to amazes me

They're close to their highest point to date. You can't expect them to avoid fluctuation of any kind.
