He isn't some prophet or something. Not that even prophets deserve this sort of worship.

Good grief! Do people really have to take Tim's management of the post Jobs era of Apple so personally?

Tim was and is Steve's choice to run Apple after he stepped down and from what I remember of Issacson's book, Steve didn't want Apple to be run on the basis of people trying to divine 'What would Steve do?'. This ain't to say I've agreed with everything Tim has done but that said not everything Steve did or shepherded to market was perfect either (Apple HiFi anyone?).

Asking Apples employees to remember the company's founder in the anniversary of his death is hardly unreasonable; Disney still mark occasions relating to Walts life.

If the size of the 6/6+ , the font in Yosemite or the prospect of the Watch isn't for you then fair enough but please don't hold them up at being symptomatic of Tim's failure to be Steve.

Seems like Apple is treating him like a religious figure.

Remembering them like how many religious groups treat dead people? And also nonreligious groups. Excuse them for remembering the death of their cofounder and the guy who saved Apple from death! We still leave flowers for my grandpa, too.

'Passing' is such a stupid euphemism. Passing to what/where/who? It's the anniversary of his death. It's sad, but can't we just say he's dead?

How? I know you're "just saying," but I'm truly curious as to what logic you're using to back up the idea that Princess Di changed the world more than Steve Jobs did.

Maybe because Steve Jobs didn't change the world in any way at all?

Just because Apple has started selling iPhones with a bigger screen doesn't mean that Jobs was wrong.
A lot of people wish Apple were still selling 3.5" iPhones.

Yeah, and if apple listened to those people they wouldn't have sold 4 million phones in the first day of preorders because those people are a tiny niche.

Only things this guy is good at : stolen others idea and claiming as his and creating a powerful brain washing machine to creating millions of zombies to buy their carp every year. No one can match this guy with these two things.

Ya he was wrong just look at the rubish sales....NOT.

The OS was great; but the screen size was always the iPhone's weakness, as demonstrated by the most successful iPhone launch ever, the iPhone 6. Why is it so hard for you to admit that apple isn't always right? Maybe if they increased the screen size back in 2011 they wouldn't have lost so much global market share to android.

Every time I see that photo of him, it reminds me of how serious and complex Steve jobs was... wow. R.i.P. ########

Apple isn't always right. I'd never fit an iPhone 6 in my pocket comfortably (even if I had the money to burn on it). Gotta stick with the 5 unless they make something 4".

By the way, every single iPhone launch has historically been better than the last, so it doesn't mean much. I think more people are buying smartphones in general, so everyone is selling more.

Or maybe these "zombies" know a superior product when they see one? Im sorry, but as much as you want to believe Apple customers are brainwashed zombies, you don't get millions of people to shell out big money for premium electronics unless you make a damn good product. And they do.

Sorry, I don't use a Mac for the  logo. I've considered a Hackintosh, but I haven't bothered because it's difficult and expensive to build one. Take me off the list at least.

Talking of Bendgate ...and that's a Tim thing ... The iPhone 6 would be a pretty good totem if life was Inception.
You're dreaming if it comes out your pocket in one piece.

I am laughing my ass off. You call a bendable phone a superior product? You call a phone that loss reception after software update a superior product. I call this sh#t products.

Hackintosh is actually pretty easy. Just go to tonymacx86 to pick up right component and use their software to load. You can create a machine as powerful as Mac Pro for half of the price.

But Linux is.much superior OS anyway

LOL!!! You actually bought into the media hype over a non-existent issue? They have a word for people like you. #sheep

Guess 10 million people are walking around with bent, non-working phones. Hahahahaha!!! You're gonna have to troll harder than that...

Human beings are not infallible. They occasionally make mistakes. Those issues were addressed very quickly by Apple. If that crap happened with any other phone company you would need to most likely replace your phone instead of having it updated via iTunes. Apple customer service is also generally very good about those types of things as well.

As for the bendiness, keep it in a case and don't sit on it. If you don't like it, wait for the 6S... I'm sure by then it'll be reinforced better. But to classify an entire company's products as crappy because they had a bad launch and disregarding everything else about them that they've ever done is childish at best. And the amount of reported bendiness issues is a small fraction of the total amount of people happily using their iPhone 6's right now.

Other companies have glaring issues as well ... you just don't hear about them as often because they're not Apple. Apple is under a microscope and when other companies have phone issues nobody cares. That doesn't mean they don't exist. But any and all mistakes that occur with Apple is under a lot more scrutiny. That's what happens when you're at the top. And they didn't get to the top by making crappy products. If you think otherwise, you are deluded.

Lol..non existent issue? You actually believing Apple's only 9 people complain carp? If you do, then you are a qualified Apple zombie. I visited different forums, I saw more than 10 complains. Apple is the biggest lair in the earth.

What about the software rendering your shiny new iPhone useless? The ugly band on the back? IPhone 4 lost reception when you griping? Superior product? Give me a break. My Moto G is better than that.

I own iPhone 4S, 5C and 5S... I just feel it is just as good as competitors. I really cannot see how iPhone is such superior product and competitor produce craps. It is sentiment Herr that everything Apple produce is automatically superior... And everything else is.Just pure junk.

I have no interest on current design nor 6S... Apple need to produce some phone that is actually durable. I would like iPhone 6C... the plastic iPhone feels really good on hand...I can call it the best phone Apple ever produced

The people in these forums are so annoying. Quit the crap and stop fighting like a bunch of nerds over stupid things.
Tim Cook wants the employees to remember Steve Jobs, what's wrong with that?
The company is still releasing superb products, period. Steve Jobs was all about making thin products so this would most likely have happened when he was running the company.
iOs 8 was a mistake, I agree. They should have fired the guy back in 2006 who was responsible for the maps flop.
A cellphone can only be innovative for so long, we already got everything innovative to our time. All they have left at this moment is to make better screens, bigger and thinner phones.

You can bicker here all day, whining about how Steve did this and that but it won't change the fact that technology has stalled for a bit and this is the best they can do now.

To the people who can't use their two hands, too bad! 4.7 is the standard now, get used to it. if 4" is good for you then use your phone until it falls apart because obviously, you can't embrace new things.

Your moto G is inferior crap, and you're a troll. Enjoy your mediocre standards buddy. :)

You're all over the place by the way, first you mention overhyped issues that people who sit on their phones are having, then you jump to an issue from 4 years ago, then you bring up a software issue that was immediately repaired. The definition of grasping for straws.

Pretty sure I'm posting this from my non-bent iPhone 6 with plenty of service. Maybe I should switch to a moto g, lmao!!! :D
