Uh, the Apple store is down.
Oh please. It isn't really in a full beta, that was said so people cant complain about it. Also, If I was a dev, I would want a beta of my software to be distributed as much as possible, so errors could be found and diagnosed faster. Limiting the "beta" to 1 phone model is not going to get results as quick.Stop the presses: Apple is improving a beta product, and working on providing integration for the biggest social network on the planet. What a surprise!
The only reason Siri was never was brought down to older devices is because Apple wants people to upgrade to the 4S.

So how does Siri run fine on the 3GS then, which doesn't have the chip? Clearly the chip is not needed. It might improve Siri's performance, but again, Siri does work without it.Yes, and that is the only reason. Oh wait...

Steve locked horns with Zuck & that was the deterrent.Nope, it's Facebook not cooperating well with Apple last year.
Just say no Apple.
We don't need spyware integrated deeply in iOS. One of the key differentiators of the iPhone over Android is privacy from the data harvesting companies like Google, Facebook, et al.

Cook doesn't have the polarizing attitude, therefore it's a whole new ball game. One with many opportunities.
Cook knows how to maximize opportunities without ruffling feathers.
Agree on FB.
Even with all the "cool guy" dissing of Facebook, how can a consumer electronic giant ignore the staggering numbers of FB accounts. Just that alone is reason to look closer
Yeah, the timing is certainly odd. But I'm too bored to forego hope.
...iOS integration with FaceBook???
FB is a fad...in a few years it will join MySpace, vinyl LPs, cassette tapes, CRT monitors, etc.

Here is a video of Siri running good on the 3GS. Honestly the performance shown is great in my opinion.

Siri was originally an app on the App Store (before the 4S came out of course) that Apple did not make. Saying that it will only work on the 4S because of some special hardware is a very lame excuse.
But if Apple wants to make it 4S exclusive, that's fine by me. I don't care that much, and it's Apple's choice anyway. They've got to have a new feature that they can advertise about on the iPhone 4S.

The first and the last, I'm afraid.I'll be the first to call it even if it is unlikely: New Mac Pros![]()
It certainly is, with three slightly lifted corners, to look like a post-it note.Is it just me or is the "We will be back" at the store a little crooked. I'm sure on purpose if so.
I would love to see apps take advantage of Siri. And I mean both Apple apps and third party apps. Also, being able to adjust settings via voice would be awesome.

I'd argue a third of the Facebook user count is either spam accounts or non-participating. Still huge but a lot less impressive.
Jailbreak and unleash the power of Siri!
I can do all of the above and more with my JB 4S.
