Apple watch lacking blood pressure monitoring, overpriced and bulky square shape are the main reasons why I don't buy it. Doesn't offer anything that the iPhone already provides.
I think Apple wasn't sure how it was going to market the apple watch. At first prior to its released, they positioned it primarily as a high fashion jewelry. Yes, they had the less expensive model, as a nod to those who want to work out, but clearly the focus at least initially was for fashion. That didn't really pan out, and as people opted for the sports model, they had to re-direct their efforts and we see more fitness functions being added in, like the GPS and a more robust workout app.
I agree with what you've said at minimum.
What i think is that Apple knew full well the watch would have multiple iterations (obviously) and opportunistically marketed the first as jewellery. You can only play that card once though until people see the core of the Apple Watch is the technology not the marksmanship (obviously). so now it's business as usual from tim and his mates.. no significant improvements in the watch but trademark Tim Cook prices (obviously)
Listen to Jobs Keynotes and then look at the current keynotes.Its like a whole other league

You sound like Tim Cook telling me what my experience is. And you lost the bet. I've owned a version of the mac for over ten years, an iPhone every 2 years, and an iPad too. I'm an engineer with some software dev experience so maybe I examine the software a little more closely than the average owner
