It makes sense, Coda has a good shot to win Best Picture. I haven't seen it, but it's 2nd in the betting odds from what I've seen.

The highlight clip will be the parts where he says, "I couldn't be more excited.." and "We think you're gonna love it."

iJustine gets a lifetime achievement award.
The highlights will also show his famous (probably patented by now) Praying Hands in action. 🤣

Severance is great. It’s a completely different show than I thought it was going to be after the first episode.
Severance is really heavy, dark and exhausting in a good way. So much of it it monotonous and most takes place in the same sterile room for an hour and then when we finally get to leave that space, the characters forget any progress they've made. On paper, it doesn't work so I'm surprised Apple greenlit it. But it works and it's great.

several actors wins oscars every year but never heared before things like "Warner Bros's CEO (who is?) attending the oscar"... i mean, if i train Usain Bolt, and he will win another gold medal, i'll not write "I'M attending the gold medal"... ridicolous

Apple puts in money and get money in return, but please don't try to get also glory as you're only an investor...

Maybe it’s just me, but I miss when Apple didn’t feel like the scattered, unfocused, widespread, overreaching, blanketing company that it seems to have now become. If an alien arrived from space and asked me what kind of company Apple is, I’d have no idea how to answer that.

Phones, portable music, latptops, tablets, desktop computers, Pro configurations, watches, displays, streaming music, streaming movies, television, retail brick and mortar, teaching seminars, books, operating systems, software suites, protective cases, dongle accessories, ear buds, noise cancelling headphones, tracking devices, home speakers…

It just comes off as tacky to me, like when you walk into a Best Buy and see the most random crap sitting on shelves.

I'm going way out on a limb here, but maybe it has something to do with this being a rumors site for all things Apple, including Apple TV content, and Tim Cook being the CEO of Apple.

And that mentioning Tim Cook in just about any context gets people stirred up.

Perhaps there's Warner Bros' Rumors website that does something similar with their CEO, getting people similarly frothed up?

CODA is just an close imitation of a better French movie. The family business is just changed to fishing from a dairy, otherwise the same. It is a nice movie, but doesn’t deserve an award for that.

that is even in contention tells you how lame this year’s Hollywood offerings are.

Denzel Washington is a good actor but Tragedy of Macbeth really sucked. I can't stand the Shakespeare baloney.

CODA is good.

So the movie sucked based on production set design camera angles recording or sound quality, or are you saying it sucked because you detest Shakespeare’s work?!

Just about every type of play or movie in existence after is pretty much modelled after Shakespeare’s work:

Comedy
Drama
Horror
Satire
Love triangle - which is still the hardest to write and execute well.

I detest the language, the words. It is a BS form of English that I find difficult to understand when actors speak at length the Shakespeare lingo.

Also, the "architecture" in the movie was dreary and plain and I didn't like the lack of colour. Making it a black&white movie didn't make it better.

And everyone there, including smug Ricky Gervais, had an iPhone in their pocket.
Yeah, well, unlike the other smug Hollywood types, Ricky isn’t the type of celebrity who pretends to genuinely care about social issues. That’s who he’s calling out here but it looks like you missed the point.

I read that “The Power of the Dog” is in with a good chance of winning best movie.

Tim is going to burst on stage and remind the audience of “The Power of the M1 MaX” let alone “The Power of the M1 Ultra”.
