I read that “The Power of the Dog” is in with a good chance of winning best movie.

Tim is going to burst on stage and remind the audience of “The Power of the M1 MaX” let alone “The Power of the M1 Ultra”.
I hated that movie. I mean it is not worth paying to see it. The things I do for Mrs Entropy.

Which non-evil multinational corporation do you get your phones from?
Well, my point was that hypocrisy knows no bounds in Hollywood. Gervais castigated Apple and Tim Cook for using ‘sweatshop labor’ when Gervais himself probably had an iPhone in his vest pocket. As to your question, of course there is no non-evil multinational corporation to get a mobile phone from on planet Earth. Hence the hypocrisy. If you are a committed activist you should not be using a mobile phone, imported clothing, imported drugs, et al.

Another comment said it better. It’s like pontificating about the unhealthiness of McDonald’s food while sitting in line at a McDonald’s drive-through window.

Apple TV+ is totally worth it, their shows are high quality and original. I think I prefer the more curated model, it may not be for all, but there is something for just about everyone. I don't drink coffee, so there is also that.

If Apple get a few very popular sports (outside of USA) on Apple TV+, then that’ll help them become a top player in the streaming market. Doing what they’re doing now isn’t enough

Why is it allowed for him to go there?
He is not an actor, nor is he famous. He is only the manager of a company.

Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos don't go there either.

I detest the language, the words. It is a BS form of English that I find difficult to understand when actors speak at length the Shakespeare lingo.

Also, the "architecture" in the movie was dreary and plain and I didn't like the lack of colour. Making it a black&white movie didn't make it better.
That BS form of English as you put it is what English was like in the period when 'The Bard' was alive. Hardly BS IMHO. It is strange to our 21stCentury ears but the language used is part of the heritage of the English Speaking World.

Incorrect. Bezos went in 2017. Go to Youtube to see the Kimmel monologue for that Oscars. Bezos was way in the back of the theater.

The wins for Amazon drew the praise of company founder and CEO Jeff Bezos, who was in attendance at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood and tweeting his congratulations to the winners.

Do you really want a diagnosis from an anonymous person over the internet or are you just back peddling on your hyperbole?
I’m not backpedaling on anything. You put forth a personal potential insult. Go ahead. Let’s hear it. I’m curious.

Apple has over 70 original shows and you claim that you cannot watch any of them for more than 5 minutes. So not only have you not given any single show a fair assessment, you cannot sit through something that you do not like for 5 minutes. That sounds like narcissistic behavior. Or perhaps you suffer from ADHD and cannot sit still for more than 5 minutes for anything? Since you have replied several times here and insist on the opinion of a stranger, I would say the most likely explanation is that you used to love Apple hardware and software but now feel threatened by Apple's turn to content creation because it competes with you and your idea of being an Apple user. You believe that Apple creates tools to empower users, not content to tell users how to think and feel. You probably also don't appreciate Apple's "preachy" or "woke" style as some describe it but fail to understand that Apple hasn't changed over the past 10 years nearly as much as you have changed. You want streaming content at an arm's reach and convenient but do not want that content to change your views or who you are so you resist it and everything else on the platform that delivers it because you feel safer protecting Apple's business model the way it was when you first identified with it and felt about it, not the way you feel now.

Not all Apple TV original shows are great but you are not like everyone else so that means there are plenty of shows in their catalog worth watching for more than 5 minutes just like there are plenty of Netflix, HBO, Amazon, Disney, etc. shows too. You are obviously an Apple consumer so you have or had access to their free trial to watch many shows. I suggest you spend time looking for things you like and less time rejecting and complaining about things you do not like.

Apple CEO Tim Cook will attend the 94th Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday as Apple TV+ is nominated for several Oscar awards, according to the former editor of The Hollywood Reporter and founding partner of Puck, Matthew Belloni.
"Oscar awards", you say? ?

Thanks for the laugh Mr. self righteous. Or alternatively, Apple shows are dogsh*t and they should just stick to what they’re actually good at. Have fun enjoying Apple TV content though.
