Yes, let's create a whole new source of confusion for users, where an app is either delete or merely invisible, with each app preference pane adding a new control. And then when invisible, and the app is opened via Siri, or search, or from the Today view in Notification Center, it only appearing in the multi-tasking view, but not in the icon grid.

All for the benefit of some OCD ******** for people lacking coping skills. Brilliant.

You must get confused quite easily... I for one could handle a "hide" option without blowing a gasket.

Little do some people know the importance of some apps for iOS.

Some apps are related to others, meaning those apps has to stay around for some functions of the other app to work. Then you have the overall OS important apps. Take OS X i.e, iTunes is vital for OS X. Try to delete iTunes from your Mac and you will most likely have to do a full system restore for your Mac to even boot into OS X. Same goes for iOS, certain apps are connected throughout the whole system and without them, your iOS device might not even boot up.

Which is why it would much simpler like some people here have already said, make an option in settings to hide the apps but not delete them. If you have a 32GB or higher storage iOS device, the amount of space those stock apps use is so minor in comparison to 3rd party apps from the App Store that there is really no use to complain about those apps taking up space. If you have 16GB device and still complain about it, then maybe you should look into getting an iOS device with more storage.

How about: Why will you not produce an updated 4-inch model like the 5s????????
I personally think the 4 inch is way to small that's the main reason why I switched from the iPhone to android before the iPhone 6 plus. But I do believe in choice. they are many people that want the smaller form factor. My sister has the 5 and refused to upgrade to the 6 because she has really tiny hands. So she will be upgrading to the iPhone 5s when the 6s comes out. she doesn't want a plastic 6c either she wants the same specs as the 6s not a watered down version of it. If apple doesn't release a 4 inch phone in 2016 then its safe to say they never will. Hopefully they come out with something for you 4 inchers. ;)

Why don't they just let you get the apps from the app store? Settings and app store. That's all you absolutely need and you should be able to get everything else from there. Those two should be locked down. Everything else should be up for grabs. Let the best app win. Why do they care to push bloatware, they make money off of the hardware, ads, and a slice of app revenue, anyway. Instead of giving you crappy stocks and they earn nothing, maybe i would get a paid stocks app that they get a piece of. Really, if you're that into it, you aren't using stocks anyway.

Simple solution if the first thing you see when you open the app store would be the apple iPhone apps section, but only if you deleted any of the apple stock apps.

Deleting stock apps, .. i think Tim handles this response well.

i.e. if u were able to remove "contacts", any app which wants to use the contacts list would then "break" because the app is no longer there..

I think everyone would want to remove newsstand..

This is allot better than a work-around "lets create a folder we will never use again to put all our junk into"

It will be like my wardrobe at home... (opps... quick edit)
I'd like to think apple and their app devs could figure out a way to make it so that if you install Kewlcontackz from the app store and open it with no contacts, it would say something like, "you need the contacts app to continue", then there would be a button that you click to get said app. If I can get dumped to the app store from stupid ads, they can make that work.

Whats the problem with stocks app ? just put all of them in a folder and out of your sight.
One of the problem I run into is that they still show up in Spotlight search results. So even if they're "out of sight" when looking at my phone's screen, they're still in the way when I'm using my iPhone.
They're also taking memory space, which may be an issue for people with the entry 8GB or 16GB iPhone models.

Seriously, why not just create a toggle like with the Nike app. I don't care about the space it takes in storage but the annoyance of having it there on my screen.

We would have to make them invisible. It would be simple in that we would have to turn it on. It is also possible that some users could take five minutes and learn how to use their device. They don`t know tech that well? They can learn how to use it. No reason to be that person that uses a computer every day for hours and a decade later still does not know what a desktop is.

Meh.. I never understood the obsession on the part of some iPhone owners to delete the Apple included apps. They establish a baseline experience for new users. Hiding them isn't that complicated if you're truly bothered. Why is this a big deal?

Do not need them.

Do not use them.

Folders do not count.

They annoy us.

You sound like you put your "Apple Watch" app on your first page, even though you don't currently own an Apple Watch. Nice! The only better thing to do would be to move that Apple Watch app down to the dock. Pure nirvana...

But he’s most excited by 3D Touch. “I personally think 3D Touch is a game changer,” he says. “I find that my efficiency is way up with 3D touch, because I can go through so many emails so quickly. It really does cut out a number of navigational steps to get where you’re going.”
Tim get off your phone and use a freaking computer to do your work.

You would get fired at my job if you considered a phone as an efficient means on getting work done.

....Kind of sounds like you want an android?
Well... I have Android at the moment. I am using a 2015 Moto X Pure as my daily until I get my iPhone 6s. But... no... I think iOS is the more polished OS, but since I use Chrome for my browser on my Mac, I would really like to use Chrome on my iPhone... but I don't because I can't make it the default. Same thing with the Gmail app. I would really like mailto links to open the Gmail app instead of Apple Mail.
