It should not take 4 to 6 years to upgrade computers. In computer 6 years is a joke.
Not to talk about iMac that it took Apple 10 years to change the external design and still you cannot adjust the vertical monitor position and has ugly bevels.

When a design is so far ahead if its competitors there is little need to change. Want to show how how Dell/Lenovo/HP are innovating in the Desktop space? Apple computers get updated on a regular basis, just not the external design.

I dont like non adjustable foot on the iMac. It is now available with a VESA mount for those that want that option. Millions of people seem to like the built in options just fine. Who am I to tell them what to like. Buy what you like. I have all my computers and monitors on VESA arms because I don't like the stands they came with.

With the rumour that a powerful Mac mini is just around the corner, you can pick any monitor you like.

He’s creating a lot more value than the average employee. Else, by your logic, the janitor should be paid more based on the sheer number of hours put in.

No. He's directing others. He's not personally creating any more value than the engineers creating the actual designs.

I get it, CEO is a competitive market, but 200x the typical employee renumeration? Come on.

I think is kind of obscene...
Yes, Apple is breaking record earnings, which does not mean they are innovating. Innovation has been stagnated for the past 8 years.
Where upgrading cycles have become ridiculous, 4-6 years...
Where they rip of users by delivering laptops in 2021 with 8gbRAM and 256 SSD.
Only thing they upgrade every year and they are not even worth upgrading is the iphone.
It is a shame.

The definition of Innovation is clearly a sliding scale. Oh face id, been the same for years, Apple isn't innovating...what many MR posters do and I guess they are entitled to that opinion of the definition of innovation. And I also understand the definition of "destroying" is a moving, personal definition. As well as the definition of "it is a shame".
