Out of all newspapers in Germany, I can’t believe he gave Bild an interview. Bild represents nothing that Apple stands for.

I was just about to say 'bet he ditched that beer as soon as the camera was put away', but you beat me to it.
Yeah, I have the same feeling. It’s not even that strong. When I was at the Oktoberfest in 2014 (my first and so far only time), I had no problem with that same size. It was a warm day (70s/22-24c) and it went down nicely. I almost had a second, but decided against it because I didn’t want to chance stumbling my way back to the Hauptbahnhof (train station) to catch an ICE train back to where I was staying, Aschaffenburg, which is 3 hours away. Drunks sometimes become targets for opportunistic criminals over there.

We had an all day session there and there were a few of us. I think I stopped at around 5 or 6 of them. Ooopsie.

The best part of this photo is the forearms of the lady at the front. Those are the arms of someone that lifts.

I know nothing about financial markets or regulatory stuff, but I think Goldman Sachs have a banking licence here in the U.K (they have an online/app driven savings account), so would it really be that hard to launch the Apple Card here?

It’s not that simple sadly.

If and when it does arrive in the U.K. we’re unlikely to see cashback rates as high as they are in the US where there are fatter margins for credit agencies and Banks.

Ghastly little man. I would have thought that a small sweet sherry would be more his thing. He should burger off back to the weird donut and spend a bit more of his time actually fostering innovation rather than just working out more ways to gouge his loyal customer base. Apple becomes more the Emperors New Clothes every day....

I understand your point, but from a marketing perspective it makes sense. Bild also has more readers, or let's call them viewers :) (Bild = picture)

Just dontbuy your iPad on amazon from their official merchant account. Apparently that's not 3%. :(
As far as I am aware the following applies: Anytime, period, that you use the physical 'titanium' Apple Card, 1%. To get the 3% daily cash from any of the 3% merchants it has to be Apple Pay. So, even if you are in an Apple retail store and purchasing Apple hardware; If you don't Apple Pay and opt to use the physical Apple Card - 1%.

Anytime you copy / paste or otherwise use the card number displayed in wallet app: 1%.

That is to say, Amazon would have to support / provide ApplePay as a checkout option on Amazon.com and your "Sold by" seller would have to be Apple itself to get 3% daily cashback for Apple hardware purchased off of Amazon.com

There is a workaround. Walgreens is 3% now with Apple Card. Go to Walgreens and buy Amazon gift cards for the amount you need to make the purchase. You get the better prices Amazon often has plus the 3% back. There are lots of retailers/online stores Walgreens carries gift cards for so you get get 3% at even more places.
Why go to that hassle when the Amazon Prime credit card itself offers 5% cashback on all Amazon.com purchases (3% without Prime).

That is: Amazon.com may have a lower price on Apple hardware due to a promotion or sale. But, you should have Amazon's own credit card unless you only ever make 1 or 2 purchases in a year from them.

If Apple's Apple Card is your first credit card ever, ok. Go though that hassle then. But get the Amazon Prime credit card as soon as you can.

I agree. I was just offering a solution to what that guy was saying.
