If I enter TM, I can restore files from the past but as soon as I select a folder I can not restore it.

Latest OS on the Mac. Mac is a MBP M1 Pro.
The TM drive is a USB SSD, connected to a Mac mini in the network. Network hard wired. MM latest OS.
