Tried 5 phones, every of them was defective with different defects.... this is not bad luck, this is the worst quality check seen in my life.

will wait for the next year.
Bought 1 iPhone 7 and have one that's pretty flawless. No issues whatsoever. So clearly not absolute shambles in quality - you've just had massively bad luck. And no, water resistant does not mean water proof.

I suggest remaining with iPhone 6s and walk around with umbrella. Always with umbrella.

Apple can fix 99% of everything except bad luck. That's the remainder 1%. Unfortunately you fall into category remainder 1%. iPhone 7 very bad luck for you even tho 7 is good luck in most cases, especially leprechauns.

Wait for iPhone 8 which may bring good luck and if still bad luck then iPhone 9, 9S, or iPhone 10

If iPhone 10 is still bad luck then I finally suggest a pencil and paper. That combination never fails (except in rain; paper does not enjoy rain, thats why I say always umbrella earlier)

"7 is good luck in most cases". Did you get that from Shakespeare ? In my mind, this echoes "Fortune brings in some boats that are not steered"

At least your phone doesn't catch fire ;) and you won't get arrested for taking it on an airplane.

Every company is going to have some kind of problems with their phones. You need to wait for a better batch to come out..Just wait a couple months and exchange your phone again at that point..Unless you've already returned it.

If you just wait a bit you'll get a better batch.

Have Apple announced a better batch of iPhone 7 to come ? I must have missed a keynote.
If there are too many complaints about iPhone 7, the risk is high that Apple might punish their fans by making a phone that catches fire next year.
How extraordinary to have a company that makes a device with lots of failures, BUT does not catch fire.
So please bow in front of almighty God Apple.

Apple's phones are very popular so it's not surprising that there's a good amount of defects, just like with any other manufacturer. The nice thing is how Apple handles those defects: you just go to the Apple store and get it exchanged the same day.

For someone that is a very rare case and and gets 5 bad Iphones in a row, it's just better to wait for a newer batch to come out because it's much less likely for them to be defective as well.

Nice to have your defective device replaced with another defective one...
Strangely enough, none of the billions of banknotes they get from their customers' pockets is ever "defective".

this forum it's full of people like me
[doublepost=1477754012][/doublepost]

so, you think i want to lose my time here writing and going into the apple 4 times?
Probabilities.....all about probabilities. Between my son and I we have owned 12 different iPhones. Never had to take one back. Now you have 5 defective ones in a row. What is more probable, that you happened to get five defective phones, or that you are so picky that nothing could satisfy you, or you are not being truthful? I tend to give you benefit of the doubt and believe you are truthful, but ultra picky.

If I were to go over my mass produced iPhone 7 Plus with a magnifying glass I am sure I could find some defect. But instead I just started to use it and not hunt for issues. I'm not going to sit my 6s Plus next to the 7 Plus and compare screen temperature. My 6s Plus is in a box back to AT&T. Plus It's not how I use my phone. Colors look great on my 7 Plus, screen is plenty bright, battery life is fine, better than my one year old 6s Plus battery after over 400 recharges. Sound is fine out of duel speakers, louder than my 6s Plus. I don't hear any buzzing from the phone, but I never actually listened to the back of it. I appreciate the higher water resistance, but I'm not stupid, so I don't shower with it.

As for the forum being full of people like you.....well I count perhaps a dozen and half those are repeat complainers, they only count once. When something truely is wrong with a product, we see it played out all over the news, not just in this forum.

After one month of sacrifices, i've choose to return my iPhone 7 and go back with my old 6s.

Reasons?

First three iphone with a loud hissing noise, the other one with display issues, another one got wet without any reason (i think running under the rain).

Really really tired about this kinda of things, i started to HATE iPhone 7 and Apple with this kinda of low quality check, very very tired.

I don't know if i will return to iPhone 7, i was liking very much the camera of the iPhone 7+, but now i haven't got no more energies to go back, change, return, configure, change it again......
I've been trying to tell you.

What defects for instance ???

No, not really, unless the defect is "spectacular", like a phone catching fire. I think the media have other fish to fry.

Don't know as I didn't do it. To me everything is working fine, faster, longer battery life, vivid color screen, solid communication on LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS. It just works, so why go looking for a flaw?

Two spring to mind without any straining of thought, antenna problems, bending problems. Media must have had slow month as those sure were reported way beyond this forum. I didn't seem to be bothered by those and certainly don't classify them as spectacular.

If I had bad devices after 2 returns, I would get a refund and wait a couple of weeks for new batch. I mean successive bad iPhones might mean issue in the batch.

I have a family of 4. We are all on Iphones 7's or 7 plus's. The camera maybe better but as a phone they suck compared to the 6s's we gave up. Can't connect to the verizon 4g network extender. More dropped phone calls on my 200 mile day commute. Should of waited to buy but I never had a problem with Apple's phones before. Been working with Apple to get them right but the latest is wait for the next update that it is a software problem and they are working with the carrier on it.

When it works as a phone it is great.

If it were same problem for each phone I would agree. But five different issues on five different phone, without a good one in between points to another issue.

5 phones and they were all defective?

Sorry I just simply don't believe you op.
Some people really are just that picky. My jet black iPhone 7 came with a very thin scratch on the back when I got it. I could have been really anal about it and returned it for not being perfect, but I'm well aware that it's going to get more of those from normal use, so it's perfect enough for me.

If I was the manager of the retail store, you would have been stopped at the 3rd exchange, fully refunded, and asked to buy a device elsewhere that more fits your needs. There is a point where you are not a profitable customer anymore.

when i worked at the genius bar if we noticed someone kept coming back over and over without a legit problem and just wanted their phone swapped we would deny service. put in notes so that every apple store in the country could see it so if they tried going to another store they would see what we wrote. But it would have to be something extreme like this persons case. Usually we try to help, but if it gets obvious that they just want to keep swapping phones we would resort to that.

The percentage of receiving 5 faulty phones in a row must be extraordinarily high. like in the millions or billions. most likely its the person.

There's a difference between being picky and straight up abusing the system. You really believe he had 5 bad iPhones? Get real. The resources on this planet aren't unlimited you know.

It's not abusing the system if you're genuinely returning phones over even the tiniest issue that came with the phone. Some of the phones OP had probably had issues you wouldn't notice or even care about.

I just noticed my iPhone 7 has the slightest bit of light leak in the display, but it's so minor that it doesn't bother me. I've had devices with much worse leakage. But just because it doesn't bother me doesn't mean it wouldn't bother someone else, and it's something OP might have returned it for.

It's not about finding a completely perfect device. It's finding one up to your standards, and not everyone's standards are the same.

Uhhhh first world probs dude. Don't complain too much. It'll bite you in the arse when something actually comes up that you really should hate. Hate is such a strong word. Don't be weird.
