Well, between the aluminum and steel/titanium, the watch is a gadget I replace every 2-3 years, so never saw the point of paying extra just for the better casing material.

Between the looks of Ultra and regular watches, that's personal preference. While personally, I like the rugged look of the Ultra, I can understand how people might prefer the simple look of the S10.
More pics to get an idea of it… got bored after resting from a busy week so decided to stop by the Apple Store early afternoon.

That watch looks huge on your wrist.
It is a brick 🧱 on my wrist. Yet that color of black titanium is bold, I also tried it on with a blue small/medium trail loop and I still had to pull it all the way up. Ocean band is 2nd or 3rd hole and I moved the ring around to the right to secure all the extra length.

Therefore the vote I cast is the Slate S10.

I tried the black Ultra 2 with the new Milanese strap over the weekend at the Apple store and it was a nice looking combo. It was definitely on the thick side for my liking. I thought the titanium slate S10 in 46mm was striking and was very tempting. The jet black 46mm also caught my attention but I think waiting to see how the finish fares in the real world for other forum members might be prudent as it could turn out to be a scratch magnet.

Agreeable. It is a bold and dark combo, and jet black is the new Space Black but as it is now in aluminum without the stainless steel and the DLC coating.

The Ultra 2's thick casing pushes up even more extra space in solo loops and various types of bands.

I am interested in the watch that is the most high end. I would never consider the aluminum. Between the titanium series 10 and ultra 2 is a tough choice.

Depends on how your wrist feels when you put it on. If you have a small wrist the ultra may look like a brick 🧱 so get the slate titanium.

Which Apple Watch are you upgrading from?

Y’all this video popped up on my feed, and I wanted to share. A Japanese Apple fan posted a comprehensive video of wearing the Apple Watch Ultra 2 in both colors. It also shows off the various bands and how the watch looks on different wrist sizes, the dude's wrist measures 165mm. Comparison between S7-9 45mm vs Ultra. The video is almost an hour long and has English subtitles, so pop some popcorn and check it out!

The bulk of AWU bands get more obvious when worn on smaller wrists like mine.
