The issue is with the Tivo HD itself. Netflix works great on the premiere. I know that is throwing gas on the fire for you.

I am incredibly disappointed at TiVo right now. They are so slow and sluggish to get anything done and in the end its seems half asses.

To make things worse the TiVo Netflix app SUCKS. Most of the content sounds like chipmonks.

The "Premiere" interface is the buggy part. Go back to the "old" SD menu and it works flawlessly.

After getting fed up with DirecTV's control freak attitude about the content, I bought a Premiere and signed up for Comcast.

I'm stunned at how buggy the TiVo is. It's been, what, 10 years now?

And they are only JUST NOW developing an app? And only for the iPad? Not for the iPhone or iPod? Lame.

Oh, and they're not actually deploying it (yet). This is vaporware.

Grumble.

From what I've been hearing Premieres interface is really buggy. I guess that's why BestBuy has been selling Tivo premiere for $99 for the past two weeks. Maybe this little push from apple will in courage Tivo to work it out.

I just bypass all of this by giving cable the shaft and downloading only the shows and movies I want. :)

I can use Transmission's WebUI to download and control torrents from anywhere on the planet.

All of your stories further reinforce why the current TV/Cable system SUCKS.

Port to Mac OS 10.6.6?

Does anyone know if they're planning to make this app available on the iOS platform within 10.6.6? The trackpad on any recent MacBook handles all the same multi-touch input as an iPad screen, so it wouldn't take much to adapt it. I have a MacBook Pro but no iPad (in case you haven't guessed that by now).
