I got a text on Saturday 11/6 saying approved, bill credit reflected within 1-2 billing cycles. Submitted 10/6.

I figured I would follow-up on my experience here with the T-Mobile credits.. I originally ordered my 13 Pro on apple.com with carrier activation to T-Mobile and set up a trade of my 12 Pro. I was offered $640 in trade from Apple for the 12 Pro, and since I was not changing my plan to Magenta Max, was also eligible for the additional $200 in monthly bill credits from T-Mobile.

FedEx ended up losing two return kits that were sent to me from Apple, and I was advised by Apple.com support to instead bring the trade to the store and have them complete the trade there. I did that, and the Apple store issued a credit to my card for $640 plus tax. But -- when I checked the status on my T-Mobile promotion, it just kept saying "Received", and that once they received the phone, it would be completed. After 4 weeks of this, I contacted T-Mobile support on Facebook Messenger, and the representative set a follow up with me every week until the full 8 weeks passed (the promo states the credits can take up to 8 weeks to be applied). He contacted me every Wednesday for 4 weeks to let me know the status had not changed (so I did not have to keep checking myself). After the 8 weeks passed, he ended up saying that the change to the in-store trade likely messed up the T-Mobile credit, and he ended up issuing a full $200 credit to my account.

Very happy with their support.

Submitted and “received” September 25…. And still waiting. Called several times and it changes, some say it takes 10 weeks, some say just waiting on apple!

I called TMo last week and they said it would be 2 billing cycles and mine would start in December.

I just checked the status of my 2021 Apple Retail Trade P3 from upgrading to iPhone 13 back in September and it was denied by T-Mobile. Says "ineligible trade-in" which isn't correct. I'll contact them to figure out what happened.

i'm running into this exact same issue right now and am talking with t-mobile customer support and they have no idea. they keep saying they can't issue the promo credit and saying that i needed to be on the magenta max plan. which is ******** because i remember the promo terms saying any other plans would get $200. ughhh

Same, I chatted with a T-Mobile rep and explained that this was a Apple Store special carrier deal with T-Mobile. I provided a screenshot of email that shows the promo code, preorder deal ($790 for trade in + $200 bill credit for existing plan) and was willing to provide order and trade in receipt if they ask. The rep will apply it to the account and it will take 72 hours to process it. I will check back to confirm the promotion.

I keep copies of everything in Notes just in case things like this happen. The promo is still not showing in my account. My account rolls over on about Dec 7 so I will see what happens by then which is when they told me the credit would start to be applied.

Yep I said other plans were $200.00. The agent ended up giving me a one-time courtesy credit. Fine with me. But it seems like submissions and redemptions with T-Mobile one of the worst parts of their customer service business. I won’t do another with them.

This is smart to keep screenshots of the deal and photocopy/save everything. I’ll definitely do this next time.

I just checked my e-mail -- Apple sent me a receipt and it is RIGHT THERE on the receipt, promo details, code and all. Check your e-mail from the day you bought the phone, Apple should have e-mailed it to you. Of course, I had to scroll wayyyyyy back to October 1, when I bought the phone. It's DECEMBER and still no bill credits. Seriously WTF TMO?

I chatted with a T-moblle rep last week and she told me it takes 6-8 weeks and my rebate is still being processed. She said Dec 1 will be 8 weeks. It's Dec 2 and still nothing.

I will try to chat with them again when I get the chance.

Almost can’t believe this! I just received a text that said my submission has been approved. Said the credit will reflect in 1-2 billing cycles. Amazing!

WTF! I just got this exact same “deny” reason now. I’m truly disgusted with TMO and may need to switch.

Are they now an insurance company where they just deny every claim? It was THEIR promotion!

Quick update -- spent an hour with customer service. Wow, they are so disorganized. They are now getting into the "it's Apple's fault" blame game--which is of course untrue as we all know on this thread TMO has the issue. If I get this resolved, will share any tips for anyone to get this done quickly because it seems I'm getting nowhere with the generic customer assistance at TMO.

EDIT: after having to call back T-Mobile I have gotten a one time bill credit of $25 applied immediately plus a promise that the rest will be handled in a few business days. We shall see.

Interesting corporate intrigue – the customer service rep told me that she was trying to get the rebate department to explain the denial and they kept pushing back that customer service and business support had to handle resolving the matter. It looks like there are some internal problems at T-Mobile.

Do you know if this promotion active still ? I see it on apple site. But on can’t find on t-mobile site
Seems like they no longer have the $500 bill credit promo, only the $200 bill credit promo, according to Apple's site.

I did not get a chance to chat with them again, but lo and behold! I got the text that my submission was approved. Finally! :)

SO -- a rep manually issued me a $200 immediate credit to my bill on 11/19 after there was no activity on my trade after the 8 weeks.. Then, last night - I got a text saying my $200 bill credits will begin next month. Asking them on FB Messenger about it now - dont want a surprise reversal 6 months from now after they figure it out.

Edit -- spoke to T-Mobile.. They said thanks for letting them know - but I'm going to end up getting the 24 bill credits as well, and they are not going to reverse the $200 credit they already issued.. Bonus.

This just happened to me too. Initially a few weeks ago I got the "denied" message on the T-Mobile submission/promotions page. So I called and got the $200 credit by a manual adjustment from an agent... then lo-and-behold, late last night I got the $200 bill credits text and just checked the status of the promotion and now it has changed to "approved". This could be fixed on their end in advance if they stayed within the SLA of their promotions. Not going to fight about an extra credit.
