This just happened to me too. Initially a few weeks ago I got the "denied" message on the T-Mobile submission/promotions page. So I called and got the $200 credit by a manual adjustment from an agent... then lo-and-behold, late last night I got the $200 bill credits text and just checked the status of the promotion and now it has changed to "approved". This could be fixed on their end in advance if they stayed within the SLA of their promotions. Not going to fight about an extra credit.

Out of curiosity - did you trade in at the retail store or did you send it back in the return shipment box?

I noticed last week that my submission was denied. Chatted with T-Force and the rep put in an appeal and also gave me a $20 bill credit as a courtesy. Woke up this morning to a text that the promo was approved!

Going through the same mess right now.

TMo is blaming Apple for denying the trade-in, so getting the info from Apple.

TBD.

TMO pulled the same b*ll with me. Apple was like, uh -- it's their promo? Had all necessary info ON THE RECEIPT.

They gave me $20 also but then said they were escalating an in 3-5 days they'll "call me back."

I'm sure I'll be calling them Monday to find out why I haven't heard from them.

So...still haven't heard from TMO. Glad others are having some luck, but chatted with a rep today and they STILL haven't gotten the go-ahead from the supervisors to approve the rest of the bill credits.

SO GLAD I didn't jump on the "free iphone" promo that TMO was running via bill credits. I just knew the "pay first, get bill credits later" BS would result in this type of frustration.

Finally got mine approved today. Took a serious complaint to upper level CSR but they apologized for the screw up and I got the extra $20 as well so all is good.

Did you just get on the phone and keep insisting to talk to a "supervisor" -- how did you bump it to the "upper level"?

Honestly it seems it was just luck of the draw. I had been on the phone for almost an hour with another frustratingly bad CSR, who was about to connect me with a tier 2 CSR when I got disconnected, and they did not call me back so I don't know if that was on purpose or not. I immediately called back and I was pretty hot and probably a bit rude, but the CSR seemed to have more authority, she immediately reviewed my account and applied the full $200 credit to my account with absolutely no run-around. The credit showed up immediately on my account while I was still on the phone with her.

T-Mobile is a mess. An utter disgrace of incompetence.

Waited almost a month after being told it would be applied “in 3 to 5 business days.” It never was.

Broke down and called again. Re-explained the situation. Was told now I would get a $100 credit in January + $100 in February.

We shall see…

Today I checked the T-Mobile promotion status online and saw that it was denied for "invalid purchase date" even though I purchased an iPhone 13 Pro Max well within the promotion date range, and completed all the required steps outlined in the email I received from Apple (trade in old phone, upgrade to Magenta Max and register for the promotion). Apple credited the trade-in with no problem after three days.

After 1 hour and 53 minutes on the phone with two T-Mobile reps, the monthly service discount was finally applied to my account. I also tried contacting T-Force through Twitter (highly recommended by Reddit users) but got no response.

For the second T-Mobile rep, I had to provide the make, model, storage amount, color and IMEI number for the new iPhone--even though all this information is in my account to which she had access. Then she came back and said her supervisor needed the Apple order number. Fortunately I keep tidy records.

While the service rep was very polite and ultimately helpful, I must say that having to spend almost two hours to fix a promotion that should have been 100% automatic was infuriating.

I think this matter is finally settled. After at least 5 phone calls and 8 hours of my time since November. Outrageous.

I put it straight to the rep I had on the phone – – “either give me the credit I am owed, or lose a customer. It is up to you.“

What is really infuriating is that their system is still showing an invalid trade-in at Apple even though everything was correct and the receipt shows as much. TMO is not well organized and this has been a problem with them on other issues like my corporate discount. For a “communications” company, their IT rots.

I’m getting the credits as two lump sums and the first already went through. Hopefully I won’t have to call yet again for the second one…

Well, my next bill came through and unsurprisingly the monthly promotion was still not credited. The previous rep only applied a 1-month "B2B Crtsy Credit" even though she told me I would be getting 23 more such credits to fulfill the promotion.

So this time I started with T-Force. I screen-shotted my Apple receipt with the valid purchase date, and the rep gave me two options: reapply for the monthly service credit promotion, or get a lump sum credit. I took lump sum! So glad this is finally over.
