TNT problems in UK for tiger

TNT tracker still says Allocated for Delivery. Tiger sitting on the desk in front of me. With a bank holiday weekend ahead, I'll take my time with the install. Want to make sure that all the apps I use work before commiting in full.

I am :mad:

Phoned TNT and they phoned my local depot who said that they will delivering tomorrow to clear their Apple backlog.

I'll believe it when I see it. :rolleyes:

TNT don't work on saturdays over here. Lazy ****s.
 
i have been waiting all day, it a arrived in exeter at 6am this morning ( i live in plymouth) and the tnt guy on the phone said it would be out in the afternoon, i am really really annoyed that i wasted a day waiting for it.
 
Complete newbie to this but TNT could have done better I'm sure.

Not strictly TNT's problem but after waiting all day I've now found out that my copy won't be arriving until Tuesday because they werent able to deliver because of a spillage on the road.
Apparently they wont come tomorrow as they dont deliver international orders on a Saturday!

I've now got to contact Apple to arrange a new delivery point
:mad: Even worse as there was a copy on PC worlds shelf on Thursday!

Yeah but mine has to be flown from nottingham to Guernsey and then delivered to me. That's not going to happen anytime soon. That flight is a few hours long in itself.
 
Didn't get mine today :mad: (ordered 10 days ago)

This is the 4th time (out of 4) that TNT have screwed up an Apple delivery for me.

If I can't collect it from the depot tomorrow I'm going to be upset. I was looking forward to installing over the long bank holiday weekend.

According to TNT my Tiger was delivered at 14:10 today, but it wasn't

Hmm, It also says:
29/04/2005 18:11 BASILDON Allocated for delivery
29/04/2005 08:46 BASILDON Out for delivery
29/04/2005 08:01 BASILDON At delivery depot

So it was allocated for delivery 4 hours after they "delivered" it.

I remember the same sort of problem with Panther and that was finally delivered at about 9:30 on Sunday night.

I don't know why Apple persist with this bunch of cowboys.
 
What a cock up!

Got a call from TNT at 4pm today to say they were so busy I wouldn't get my package until Saturday, maybe Tuesday. Lucky for me their depot is only down the road from work so I picked it up in person.

Someone at Apple needs their backside kicked - it's not like they didn't know they'd be shipping 1000s of units to TNT today, they should of been prepared!

On the plus side - Tiger installed and working well :)

Errm. Now according to TNT noone was home to collect Tiger today. WTF. I been home all day. They never even tried to deliver it. :mad:

Same here. If no-one was in when they try to deliver it, (or if they didn't even try), then when it gets back to the depot it will be reallocated for delivery the next day.

This is a standard trick of delivery companies when they are busy. b&stards.
 
I got up at 06.30 to phone TNT. I asked them not to put it on the delivery truck as I won't be in today, and instead I can collect it from the depot anytime now (10 miles away).

So, now I have to decide: back to bed or go get Tiger. :confused:

hmmmmm,will I be able to sleep knowing its waiting for me? And iLife 05 as well...

nah,I'm going back to bed, it'll still be there in 2 hours.
 
I phoned up apple to try and get compensation - they said they weren't giving it out. So I cancelled my order - LOL screw them. I am gonna go down to a local store and get it.
 
Apple should ditch TNT and go with UPS they are Good IMO they deliverd my eMac last year and i remember the delivery man even helping me carry it up the stairs in my house too nice UPS man

Many day's spent waiting in for the TNT delivery man :mad: ipod's powerbooks - and apple software. why does it always take a day off work to get what u want?

TNT are like Microsoft - you'll get it next day , no next week , no it's broke and its gotta go back lol
 
Crap none of the resellers over here have it! I will have to order it again off the Apple site LOL

They use UPS all the time for Apple Care stuff (if you need to send anything back for repair) - do seem much better!

and they are very good! when my powerbook went wrong, phoned then up, a delivery guy was in the next office unit and within 2 minutes he has collected my powerbook, Thats what I call service.

BTW - I recieved tiger at 3pm friday, very happy after sorting out a few problems
