The online rollout is not as good as the in store launch for one reason alone.

Choice.

The online rollout is one frustratingly long virtual line you must to wait in.

The in store roll out was many shorter lines where chances and ability to change your mind at the POS were greater. And you had the choice to order on line.

In the end the in store/online launch was better for the customer and the online only launch was better for Apple.

This is pure speculation but it also seems the new head of retail has not come up with an in store selling strategy in time for the launch.

Could you imagine Apple having lines on launch day and 20+ combinations of watch to choose from?

What a mess. One but I like this band, oh let me try this one, yada yada yada. The only way I could see that working is if you didn't get a to try anything in etc. Line up, have your watch picked already, they hand you a watch, you pay and leave.

Still waiting

Dragged my 70 year-old Ohio ass out of bed at 0400 on 4/10. Always got the next great thing on the first day (iPhone, MBA, iPad, etc.). "Still processing" as of now..Guess we all can hope it arrives tomorrow.

No, of course we're not all getting them tomorrow. I have a 38mm SG on the way, some day. I'm sure I'll get it, I'm betting before my shipping window of May 8. And I ordered "late" with a confirmation email at 12:20.

However. The vitriol, anger, ridiculous comments I've seen on here make me ashamed to be part of this community. Never have I seen a bigger outpouring of entitled, selfish, whining brats in one place before.

Seriously, grow up people. I came here because it was a fun community while I waited for my 6+ (there was some misplaced anger then too, but nothing like this).

So does this mean you're leaving?

No, sorry :p

That was one of very few messages I posted that didn't have any attempt at humor, and I posted a lot today. Yesterday. Whatever. This *is* the waiting in line camaraderie, fretting, wondering, analyzing to death, brief discussions on squirrels - and it can be fun. I'm disappointed I'm not getting my watch on release day, but even before I slightly overslept I didn't expect to. The acidic negativity just gets to me, and is so misplaced.

You wouldn't think I've been using the Internet since 1990.

I’m definitley seeing more Apple watches. I sold my series 1 sport and bought a black ss thru work. Got $75 off and only $10 a paycheck. Never even miss the cash.
