to case, or not to case. That is the question!

i love your title.

i say cover it at least with a smart cover. I always felt like it was going to slip out of my grasp when walking around with it, and i didnt want to grasp it too hard (hehe) in fear of the touch screen being broken.

The guys from this week's Cultcast Podcast don't seem to like the smart cover. Check it out.

Any one use smart case?

I have the new Apple Smart Case (blue) on the New iPad, and like it. I does what it is suppose to do, protects the back and front, and of course, the smart cover part of it. It doesn't add any bulk to the iPad. My only complaint is when folding back the front cover, there is no way to secure it on to the back, so it won't keep flopping around. If they could find a solution to that problem, I think this case would probably one of the best cases out there. Everyone I have shown the case think it is great.

I found that putting a screen protector on the iPad is nearly impossible. I have an Incipio Smart Feather, which provides basic protection to the back, and then a Smart Cover. Not a Lifeproof like my iPhone, but decent nonetheless, and appropriate for the type of use an iPad would be likely to see as compared to the iPhone.

Usually i prefer to have my iPad without any case. I have the SmartStyle by X-Doria and it's working fine. It is very is very elegant, sleek and light, and cheap also.

I lucked out and managed to get a screen protector on my iPad (2) early on and it's been on there ever since. I also picked up an STM Skinny case early on and it's worked out great with it's ability to prop up (more stable than the funky folding screen covers).

Only use a smart cover on this one. Unlike a phone, my iPad doesn't come into contact with a lot of stuff so I like mine to be as portable and thin as it can be. Thinking about getting a really thin back cover though because it's starting to get scratches.

You must have some mad $ki11z with the screen protectors. Props to you! I wish I could have gotten one on mine, although with the Smart Cover, I think I'm OK.

Really? I have a STM skinny and when using it like a stand it is always falling flat when the tab slides out. I love the case though, that's my one and only complaint.

Naked = better! It just feels nicer to me. Just don't set it down on the concrete and it'll be fine. I went 2 years with a naked original iPad with no scratches. But, to be fair, it never leaves the house.
