I suppose I can agree that, in principle, it's somewhat frustrating. UPS could deliver these packages, but they're holding them. Just because the shipper says we're not allowed to have them yet.

HOWEVER, let us not forget that it is not without good reason. Look at what's happening to Apple's servers right now, even WITHOUT a glut of new devices hitting iTunes. Can you even imagine the digital devastation that would occur with the combined wallop of old devices being updated AND all the new devices being synced to iCloud for the first time?

Mayhem. It would be mayhem. So be patient and thankful -- and everyone else, stop hating. This OP here just loves his iStuff something fierce, ain't nothing wrong with that. ;)

How do u get OP from my name? And calm down guys. If you don't want to read this, then don't. You are not forced to.

No, we're not forced to, but we're going to call it like it is. You sound like a immature brat who thinks it's unreasonable you're going to get it delivered when they said it was going to be delivered. Seriously, grow up.

Please don't waste UPS time again by calling about why you phone is in Louisville! That is ridiculous! You will get your phone, go watch a movie or something and get offline. Damn!:rolleyes:

I SO agree!

I think part of it is that you don't understand the relationship that Apple has with the shipping companies. UPS is not a simple point A to point B service for Apple.

UPS and Apple have contracts in place, UPS is part of Apples supply chain. UPS has massive amounts of warehouse space around there Louisville hub. In this case that space is being used as a staging area for Apple's products. Just because it is in the custody of UPS does not mean it is en route for delivery. Everything before tomorrow is just UPS moving these items to there staging area, you just happen to have a tracking number that let's you see these internal movements.

Your delivery actually starts tomorrow when your phone leaves this staging area. Honestly to contain all the whining and unnecessary calls to customer service, if I were UPS I wouldn't let the tracking numbers go live until tomorrow morning.

You can of course make a case that everything I said above was ********... but if that were true then you would have your iPhone tomorrow and not Friday wouldn't you? ;)

I'm praying to God right now that his iPhone gets lost and it takes him a month to get it resolved.

Im experiencing same as your problem this time. I keep on monitoring where it is now and Im getting tired of it.

+1 find it funny that he wasted an hour of his day to find out the obvious.

If you don't know what OP means on message boards by now, it really explains why you don't understand why people are laughing at you for starting such a thread.

OP = Original Pest, uh Poster

Apparently, to UPS he's an Original Pest :)

I agree, stop bothering UPS and let them ship my phone!

The hostility in this thread is overwhelming.

The guy, I'm assuming, thought he would get the phone earlier due to the fact that his shipment was already in the states. Clearly he wasn't aware that apple holds all iPhone shipments as I'm sure many people who are in the same boat as him also didn't know. Yes the iPhone will be delivered on Friday for 97% of people who preordered last friday. Yet I'm sure he was hoping to be one of the lucky few to receive it earlier (who wouldn't). So people just relax and try not to get angry at someone with human qualities. I'm sure someone will find a way to criticize me but honestly I couldn't care less. :)
