I can agree with you at least from an unscientific standpoint based on casual observations. I have noticed from a college student perspective that it is much more common to see Females using a white ibook. Statistically there are probably more men using aluminium MBPs. Albeit not because the white ibooks are feminine in appearance but more so that men tend to be more technically inclined (gear heads) and are thus more willing and eager to want better hardware. Note that I made this classroom observation from a College of Arts and Sciences perspective. Women in Computer sciences, engineering, and creative fields that are technology intensive would undoubtedly want tech that is as good as their male counterparts. However from a general population perspective I believe that women account for a larger proportion of ibook users. Im sure there is some statistical information about Apple products and gender use at Apple marketing but so far I have not seen any of this info shared with the public.

In the same boat myself. I don't need a new note book yet and will probably hold off for six months or so. Arrandale looks like it may offer some pretty significant performance improvements but I'm not sure what those improvements will bring in real world day to day usage. Regardless of which CPU/chip set I go with I believe that the true performance boost, at least for my usage (Photoshop, LR, web development) will come from bumping the RAM from 4 gb to 8gb and switching the HD out for an Intel SSD. If Apple offers some decent price cuts on the current 15" MPB on Black Friday I may just go ahead and buy one of the current MBP's.

I am also on the wait and see approach depending on what happens on black friday. I want an aluminum mbp but haven't decided yet on the 13" or 15". I'm going to sell my current macbook and step up to the mbp but haven't decided when I should make the leap.

Lol I think your right on that, I'm a guy and I'm also getting an Apple laptop soon. For me I didn't really consider the white ones, I went straight to the alu 15":D

I too prefer the Aluminum MBP and thats what im prob gonna buy, 13.3'' MBP.
I was just reading about the black friday offers so i m really tempted not to wait but on the other hand only 2 month to go
2 months to go...?

I'm waiting for Apple to release the "Hot Pink" and "Hunter's Orange" MBP. That should definitely solve the girly laptop problem.

Don't wait! you never know when updates are gonna come and it would suck if there isn't any updates in February, and u buy then, and end up seeing new ones the month after.

Yes, u just keep kicking yourself and you'll never buy one lol

U buy one in Dec, they update in January. Well just think your a model behind but then save money and sell your newly MBP and buy the newer model after this current model is released. You'll be up to date then! lol If that makes sense...
