To the 4Sers who upgraded to a 6

I got the 6 in the end. It feels great, it's fast, I can reach things, I got used to it in 5 minutes. I can't believe how many times I came to this forum to help me make a decision and read into all the nitpicking. Blah blah Steve jobs chamfered edges Samsung big medium small sized thumb reach top corner leather case camera keyboard slippery blah blah. This is a really well designed phone, it suits my needs and now it's my pal. Thanks for all your help, good riddance. ;)

Good:
i do not like the look of the 5/5s. I got the 4 in 2010 and the 4s in 2011 so thats 4 years on a squarish design. I wanted a change in the design language so I'm happy about the 6 in that respects

Bad:
to be honest I like the feel of the 4.0' inch screen more
i have medium sized hands and can reach across the screen on the 6, but to do so the phone would shift slightly on my hand. and the phone being as thin as it is with no hard edges, its actually really easy to drop. A case is highly recommended (I got a silicone apple case) even though I've not used a case on any other phone in my life.
I feel like the 4.7" screen is nice but the extra screen real estate isnt being used very well. I could do everything I could on the 6's screen on the 4s. if that makes sense.

The Ugly:
Durability. I don't drop my phones. At the same time, I don't really baby them, I chuck them in a bag pocket, in my jacket pocket. Sometimes with keys, coins, etc etc. As I said, I don't use cases but my iPhones 4S held up amazingly. Sure, there are scratches, but theyre only visible when theyre caught in a certain light. The iPhone 6 however, is aluminium, and theyre not nearly as durable. I already have a medium sized nick on the side, from who knows what. Thats when I decided on the case. I have none of that level of damage on the 3 year old caseless iPhone 4S.

5s is on the way to being obsolete why would you want something that isn't new?

There's a LOT to be said for pocketability and one-handed operation. Also, with the 5S being no slower in real world use, and having the same 1GB of RAM, it will become obsolete the day the iPhone 6 does (*unless Apple snidely slow it down with an 'update').

Loved my little 4S. Had it 3 years then faced with upgrade I went with 6 to avoid early 5S obsolesence. The 6 just felt like a bigger, slightly faster 4S, so happy with it but not wowed, but then I usually have my iPad at hand. Definitely easier to read documents and webpages when without the iPad. I use a wallet case so now have quite a lump to pocket.

I went from a 4S to the 6 Plus. Very different in the way it feels in my hand. Size is something I'll adjust to. I wasn't much of a one hand user before, so I'm good with using the 6 Plus two handed - seems natural for me.
