I read that the Series 6 innards don't fit inside the ceramic case

That’s interesting. If you could post a link where you read that,[ Not saying I don’t believe you], I would be interested to know if that’s accurate and from what author posted those findings.

I couldn't find it, so no idea if the source has any credibility.
But the iFixit teardown does show the S6 innards as larger than S5, and they carved out more room from the corners of the case:

So the ceramic case would need to be similarly redesigned - whether this is possible I have no idea.

The more I see Ceramic S5, the more I like it, but I don't regret missing out on it because I had the S4 before and it was too soon for me to upgrade back then. But sometimes I also wonder, if like, the concept of Apple Watch Edition, also means 'Limited Edition'.

We've seen Ceramic come and go a couple of times, so in reality, there is precedent for it to come back, perhaps as soon as S7.

And then the Titanium might disappear for a while. Who knows.

With the Edition, I guess, you never know what will make it in each year. With the Series 4, there was no Edition watch period.

I love the look of the Ceramic, but not the price. Especially since after only a short time, the watches don’t work as well or don’t support new features.

Well, the Series 3 Ceramic is still supported. It get watchOS 7. But yes, it doesn’t get all the features of watchOS 7.

Interesting observation: The Ceramic Series 3 has built in cellular, all Editions since Series 3 do. Therefore it also has the increased 16GB storage.
