So your role model is someone who mentally abused his child throughout his life. Wow!
A visionary at Apple and helped make it what it is today but I still can’t wrap my mind around the fact that he rejected medical treatment for holistic healing for the 1% of pancreatic cancer that was actually treatable that he had. Such a shame.
He treated his own daughter like crap. Even after acknowledging her existence he really wanted nothing to do with her. She went on a vacation with him once, but only because his current wife put her foot down and insisted that she be allowed to go. Even Bono wondered why he treated her so badly. On his deathbed, she came to see him trying one last time form a good memory of him. He basically told her she smelled like a toilet. Did he do a good job leading Apple? Yes. However, don't act like he was a saint. He was a miserable human being, and it is good that he is no longer on the planet.

I am contributing, because much like Kobe was a rapist that everyone wanted to wash over, Steve Jobs was a miserable person that took it out on his daughter. You cannot just regard someone as some sort of saint without also pointing out his failings. BTW he did not only treat his daughter this way but many others. He never treated people this way except for those he could exert control over by means of livelihood from him. He was in fact a coward in that regard.
So if facts equal hate then I would rather be on the side of facts rather than hide my head in the sand to make people feel good in their false fantasies of what someone was. Please, report me because I completely understand the rules on what can and cannot be posted. As folks of the same mindset have reported me before, yet here I remain. I have even had moderators' rulings against me overturned because I do in fact understand the rules.
In fact, I came from a very abusive family of which I will not go into its history. Your family, nor mine, has anything to do with this discussion. No one is trying to venerate our family members as some kind of saint. The truth must be put out there. Emotional people are often assumers and lash out without facts. Here is a fact for you. I didn't watch the film.
Most of us agree. Except for one guy who thinks he shouldn’t have ever been born.Steve Jobs was a flawed human. He denied his daughter was his child up until shortly before his death. He had a somewhat rare form of pancreatic cancer that actually has a decent chance of surgery working, but instead he went holistic on a fruit juice and vitamin treatment until it was too late.
As a businessman he was a giant. As a technology innovator he was the greatest of his time. He surrounded himself with innovators and unified their visions into his concepts.
But he wasn’t anywhere near perfect. I think giving him credit while recognizing his flaws is a more honest approach for remembering him.
He was my role model.
Apple died with him.
RIP Steve.
RIP Apple.
Tim is a nobody.
And these days, macs are restricted to ”what people usually do”, like ”most people do not upgrade their computers”. The crazy ones do upgrade, but not with Apple.... because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.

Was it Job’s idea to solder both ram and storage to motherboard, to make macs the complete gem of throwawayism?
Looking to future, the saddest thing is the belief that the biggest computer company in the world can't offer both: ease of use & upgradeability.Well - Was it Jobs who championed simple, elegant machines which sacrificed user upgradability and expansion for ease of use?
