Yes, the aluminum is cheaper, but how do you know that most don't purchase the stainless model?

Oh come on now, are you really going to argue that the ratio of aluminum to stainless isn't pretty large. I live in a fair sized city, and also go to Disney World frequently, and I've seen lots and lots of aluminum models on people, they're everywhere, and I've only seen one single stainless watch out in the wild. Even if you don't believe my anecdotal evidence, just the pricing tells you which they sell more of. T-Mobile where I got mine doesn't carry the stainless at all, and I don't think Walmart or Target carry the stainless either, I don't know about Best Buy.

I agree the aluminum model is more popular. I was just curious how you came to that conclusion. I own the stainless and love it. You are correct, some stores do not carry the stainless model due to its more affordable for the consumer.
 
Once again Tom's - if you want me to buy your stuff, make it look good. The shoes are horrible and these watch bands are horrible-er.
