I'm sure it's been discussed before but, does Apple keep stock for walk in customers that's not updated on the website?

Hard to believe they have absolutely no stock..except a few random 16's...

I've heard it said that below five units the online system will say there's no stock. So if true and if stores are getting a slow steady trickle it could perhaps seem as if there's never any stock showing.

I don't know how reliable the above claim is however.

I dont want to sound rude by any means, but iStocknow dosent reflect whats currently going on @ the apple stores.

This past Sunday i was able to pick an iPhone 6 Plus Space Gray 128GB At&t at the Apple Store Houston Galleria just by getting into the store at 10:00am (1 hour before they open) and istocknow showed CERO iphone6 +

And yesterday, i was able to get an iPhone 6 Plus Tmobile Silver 128GB at the Apple Store Memorial City Mall for my sister by arriving to the store @ 9:40am aprox. and again istock said there was not a single iphone there.

So, i can 100% assure you that even tho, istocknow is a GREAT tool to find iphones in this days, There are two complete different stocks for both kind of customers, the ones buying iphones online, and the ones that prefers to walk into the Apple Store.

Now im happy with my new phone, and my advice to you is that if you REALLY want to get an iphone 6+ your best bet is to get to the store at least 40-50 minutes before they open, even tho istocknow shows empty stock. Trust me ;)

NOT true at all. Los Angeles Apple Stores have not been getting ANY 6+. If they do they only get 16GB. ?!Trust me I've been getting to the Sherman Oaks one at 9:20 AM every morning for the past week and NOTHING!

Northern CA just got a restock of iPhone 6. Not much in the way of 6 Pluses though.

That said, the entire restock here is 16GB.

Southern CA got a restock about 11 or so. Some 6 Pluses even 128gb Gray & Silver Unlocked. I once again had one in my cart and got an error. I don't know why I bother continuing to try.

I got an email from istocknow for an available 16 and 128 space gray plus on Verizon at my local store (Victoria Gardens SoCal). I added the 16 GB plus on my cart then I got an error, then I tried the 128 GB and it worked! :)

Seems a ton of stores got large shipments of AT&T 6's in 16gb, still waiting on that 128...

Socal Refresh

iPhone 6+'s ATT SG 64GB and 128GB showing available in multiple Apple Stores in Socal!

None popped up in my local store. ZERO. But I'm glad to see they're roling in rather steadily at this point. It's a good sign.

I totally understand your status, it's a nightmare. First weeks of shortage may have some fun, but now you just want your phone...

But there's hope, refills get really bigger.

Guess I was really lucky to get mine the weekend of launch... The night they started store pick up.... That was a long all nighter... The stores didn't refresh till 3am... But I got one locked it... It's by far the most amazing iPhone ever!!

SoCal just had an explosion of 6's and 6+'s for each carrier. Tons were available at every store for several minutes.

Do not trust the Apple site online availability. I checked the site before going down to my local Apple Store and there were 0 Iphone 6's for any carrier. I get down there and there were several available Iphone 6's, just not the color or carrier I was looking for. Went back home and checked the Apple online site, and still showed 0 Iphone 6's for any carrier.

That's because the online pickup stock and in-store stock are separate.

Looks like I finally scored one! :D:D:D

Since I'm in San Francisco tomorrow, that greatly increases the number of Apple Stores in the immediate vicinity. After two checkout error messages, I finally was able to successfully complete checkout at a location in the Bay Area!
