Ok, so I stumbled upon this when looking for laptops on craigslist:

* Two USB 2.0 ports (up to 480 Mbps)
* Mini DisplayPort
* Audio line in
* Audio line out

- Microsoft Office 2008
- Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended
- Roxio Toast Titanium 9.0.5
- Sun xVM VirtualBox 2.1.4
- and lots more!

Asking $400

Is this too good to be true? Can a black macbook really be this cheap, or should I suspect that there is a major flaw in the form of cosmetic or internal damage? I'll let you guys decide. I did send the seller an email requesting close-up pics of the screen and body of the machine. Can't believe it's soo cheap!...This has to be too good to be true.

once, i saw an od on clist saying macbook pro 2 ghz coreduo 100 gb 256 mb of gddr3 v-ram for 450. I went , met him at the mall bought it and then found out it had random shutdown syndrome......... but i installed leopard today, its fine now and im using it. My point is its a scam the machine listed does not exist..

That computer does not exist. There is no 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo with NVIDIA graphics.

Also I doubt you'll be getting retail disks of all that software on there.

Hysterical:
"syster" - presumably means sister..

"I can't use the laptop here in UK because it works on 110 V. " ********. All recent computers sense dual voltage.

"I didn't know about this problem" because there is no problem.

"pay my rent for next 3 months" is $400 going to pay rent for 3 months? HA.

Haha you caught some of the thins that I didnt catch. :D

I didnt catch when he said hes gonna pay 3 months with $400 :rolleyes:

buy mine

im selling a 2.2 ghz of the same specks except 8 gb of ddr3 ram 8x2 but i am in london, lol

If i remember correctly there wasnt a 9400M for sale in any white macbook (except right now), and for sure not 12 months ago.

Can you help me ... please.

I'm an idiot and never have used Western Union.

I've got to send a cousin in Nigeria $50k to claim my national lottery winnings.

Could you help me test out how Western Union works, I'll send you a $4000 cashiers check, and all you have to do is cash the check and Western Union me $3600 to show me how it works.

HA! I just skimmed after I saw "England". I was tempted to respond saying, Hey, thats great, I'm in the UK too on a business meeting! Is there a convenient time we can meet up?" to see if they'd respond. Actually, my dad WAS in England for a meeting, so it wasn't a flat out lie... hey, at least part of my email isn't BS. Good luck finding a computer in existence!
SG :apple:

I like the line about the software being made in the US therefore would be more valuable in the US. I wasn't aware that iLife 09, Office and Abobe CS weren't as useful in Europe.:p haha

Sometimes, there are exceptions.

Someone was getting rid of his 2.2 mbp on craigslist for $900, and had a phone number, etc. Told me over the phone he had the receipt, and et cetera (it would still qualify for applecare).

Had I not just gotten a 2.33 on CL a couple of weeks ago, I'd probably have been all over that, nvidia 8600 card or not.

Then again, there's a difference between a great deal, and too good of a deal.
