Obviously your complete and utter lack of any honor or honesty says volumes about you and your character as a human being, and your upbringing.

I'd for one would rather be $5 poorer than have no ethics, honor, or be known as a liar over something so small.

And if its so stupid, why would you lie about it? You made a mistake, YOU did. So why do you want someone else to pay for your failure?

REALLY?!? OMG!!

(Maybe somebody needs to forward this thread on to AT&T Wireless for follow-up...)

That deserves a WOW...REALLY?!

omg, get over yourselves! You all are there to throw that stone...but you've never lied to anyone before...right? hahahaha YOU all are the pathedic ones. Look in the mirror before judging!

Can you please link us to some of the threads we've started where we bragged about our dishonesty?

Thanks!

This thread reminds me of when I was 8 and I bragged to my dad about how I was so clever in getting a cup for water at a fast food joint but I filled it up with soda. He yelled at me and told me to dump it out - I didn't feel so clever after that.

Happy 9th birthday, OP.

OH PLEASE.....Just because you dont post threads about being dishonest, doesnt mean you've never been dishonest in your life!! pffft!!...Plus Op was just trying to share his story for those who made the same "MISTAKE" he made. Its just at&t for crying out loud.....it doesnt affect you in any way so why bother to rant!!

No one, especially AT&T, is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to be their customer. And, he could have gotten a better deal with honesty, I bet. I've called AT&T for various issues over the years since they provide my wireless, internet, and landline. Many times, they offer to knock a few bucks here and there off my bills. Recently, they told me my landline package had a lower price available so they automatically reduced it for me.

Yeah but we all need wireless service nowadays, and in a way one of the companies holds a gun to your head and forces you into a contract to have affordable equipment and then rapes you if you want out.

Sure they may knock a few bucks off here and there, but is $55 a great deal for the individual to get 450 minutes a month with no texting and 200mb of data? Especially considering how horrible AT&T's service can be for people?

AT&T wont be going out of business anytime soon. So why not get as much back from them as you can?

i'll link you to your past if i could... idiot!

go rant and rave about the oil spill or something. no one cares to listen to you tell them they're dishonest. I'm sure his little heart is broken!

If he's hard up for cash, he doesn't "need" a smartphone or an unlimited plan for his wireless service nowadays.

It's nice of you to care enough to reply. :p

I hope his little heart isn't broken. This is the Internet, right? Nothing discussed here is that serious.

What the hell is wrong with this forum? Seriously, everyone read these replies that are just attacking the OP. I can't believe people are this upset about someone saving five bucks. Everyone needs to chill, it's the god-dang Internet.

youre like fox news...take everything out of context. Only highlight what you want someone to read...how about highlighting the whole sentence?

And for the record...the internet is MY LIFE!!! lol, i take it very serious!!!:D

So you want us to congratulate you because you're a LIAR.

If you were smart, you would have paid heed to ALL of the advice on here, posted for several weeks, saying, "DO NOT GIVE UP YOUR GRANDFATHERED UNLIMITED PLAN."

LIAR = FAIL

(Maybe somebody needs to forward this thread on to AT&T Wireless for follow-up...)

As a shareholder, I have forwarded it for investigation.

I've used 278 mb with several days left on my June bill...every time I think about changing to the 2 gig plan I remind myself that I spend 5 bucks for a cup of coffee, and that it's just not worth it.

Stupid move for not seriously considering your data usage, and the fact that usage will only increase over time.

Back to the topic...

Do you think AT&T would not have let him switch back if he called and explained his predicament honestly? I'm just asking because I don't know the answer. However, they've always taken care of me when I've asked about various charges, etc. so my guess is they would have let him 'undo.'

We are on a per-use text plan because we don't text much. However, my wife joined a group in which some of her new friends use text quite a bit. Our bill arrived and had around $14 worth of text charges on it. I called to add a text plan to her line so we don't get those kind of charges again. Without my asking, the agent put the start date of the plan ahead of all those charges and removed the charges for me. It was a pleasant gesture and it made me glad to be their customer.

I am just saying that honesty can work. Yes, I've told my share of lies and I'm not proud of them. It's just a sad commentary when people are actually proud enough of their successes achieved through lying that they brag publicly about them. I would have a much higher opinion of him (not that he or anyone else should care) if he posted about his mistake and how he was able to undo it with an honest phone call to AT&T.

Ha! Too funny, and your dad sounds pretty cool.

Oh please give me a break guys there are alot of people on this board and world who lie all of the time. And while i'm not condoning lying no one in this thread is perfect and can walk on water.

Would you relax.

Actually the way you aggressively react to the OP says volumes about you and your character as a human being, and your upbringing. You actually wrote your response as if you've never lied. -.-

And to everybody else.
What Is wrong with you guys?!? Seriously. I have never been on any other forum, filled with so many haters. I mean is it really that bad?
This thread was supposed to help other people that made this stupid mistake. Sure it isn't the most honorable way to do it. But damn, it's not like he's stealing food from a homeless man.

Do you guys honestly have nothing else to do than bash people online. That sounds more pathetic to me. -.-

The fact that he lied to get his unlimited plan back sucks, yeah... but I don't think it's that big of a deal. What's a big deal is that he was stupid enough to give it up in the first place! Seriously, what the hell were you thinking, OP? What a dumb move. I think most people here are just irritated that that kind of stupidity went unpunished.

Hehehe! So true! :D

Told a girl she had the best legs on the planet once to get her to go to dinner with me. Saved me £££ in flowers because I didn't have to buy her anything for the first 3 months we dated. Naughty lie, painless consequence.

this thread is so full of win, i might just change all 5 iphones on my plan to 2GB and then back to unlimited for fun.
